Do you have an angel toolkit? If so, move your ram forward, until a click is heard when you close the breech. If you're interested, Stainless steel speed hammers are coming out very soon.

Brass shavings= You need to adjust your ram forward.

To adjust your your ram, take the two screws out of your back plate and take it off... Be careful not to loose the spring behind it. Once off, you should see the battery on one side, and the ram on the other. Just take ur ram tool, and screw the ram clockwise forward until ur bolt clicks in to place correctly.

actually, the brass shavings for the most part are normal.your ram is just working its self in. but i can see a concern if it is massive shaving...
as for the stainless ram. i tend to stay away from that. i considered getting one for my LCD, but i have heard so many bad things about thing. brass is a soft metal and can be dented, etc. instead of damaging the valve. the stainless steel ram i have heard if not adjust correctly can actually do damage to your valve...
just my 2 cents...

How does your hammer look? My hammer is getting damaged from normal use, so I'm going to be purchasing the stainless hammer. Guess who's installing it. Angelparts. If anything goes wrong, I have a warranty :).

my speed was doing the same thing when I first got it, now that it is broken in it has stopped though.

You should feel the breach/bolt click in. If you have to force it, its not right.

Let me make this more clear. The bolt pin has to be in contact with the REAR of the hammer, that's why wou should hear it click. Just wanted to clear that up. I've never had a stainless hammer, but my hammer right now is getting damaged pretty bad, and angel-parts said the tuned it before they sent it out. :dunno:

Its better that your hammer wears down than your body, thats why I wouldn't get a SS hammer. The hammer doesn't really touch the body anyways.
