me and matt are working on taking the feed neck off, and We think this son of a bitch is welded onto the gun. we have drilled holes in the feed neck and have put a hammer through the neck, and we are now slamming a hammer into the allen key as hard as we can. damn these speeds, we have a tourney tomorrow. **** i thought i would just see if anyone else was having this problem. Im getting the sledge hammer next. we will post pics

you have to heat it up to loosen the loctite......by forcing it you are probably damaging the threads. Use a heat gun or a hairdryer on high.....just take out the detents and the bolt and heat it untill it is really really hot, then apply gentle force.

I use a two layers of rubber hose around it and a lock clamp to untighten mine. And yes it was a pain in figuring out to remove it. Wished I knew about the heating trick in the first place. Eventually mine was all scratched up, the neck that is.. but who cares.. never gonna use it anyhow.

*sigh* glad that's over with..

today when i played with my speed, i had the clamping lowrise on it. I didn't locktite it. With the halo on, i found that it never seemed to really stop spinning the feed tube... it didnt ever seem to go 'all the way' in. the threads arent stripped, i checked. it was a tight fit, but i could always turn it more. I didnt because I didnt want to damage the threads. Should I locktite the new feed in to get a tighter grip, or has anyone else experienced this with their clamping lowrise?

Luckdog: I'd recommend taking it to a tech, if you don't have the right tools or feel uncertain. Removing a loctited feedneck requires a heatgun and a proper clamp for the feedneck. Absolutely use no off-axis force when removing it, the threads may be damaged.

Pntbalmatt: If the feedneck is turning without going down, the threads _are_ damaged. Probably not completely torn off, but both the threads in the marker body and the feedneck have worn slightly and are slipping past each other. I'd check with WDP for instructions.

i dont think it wasnt going down. I wasnt spinning it around, i could turn it slightly if i turned the halo, but i made sure not to do that just so i didnt damage anything...when the neck is in without a loader, i cant turn it anymore.

My feed neck was lov tited on.... I just put on my eggII and turned really really really really hard, and poff, it came off (plus it was really really hot outside so that probebly helped.

i cant wait to have this problem... it sounds like fun you know i might just stick w/ stock feed and my masking tape on the loader.. rather then gettinga clamp feed. :) and fuxing up the threads.
