View Full Version : What causes the LPR to creap up

:puzzled: While going over my LED I noticed that my LPR setting creaps up while the gun is sitting static. It has Eclipse low pressure internals and just after the gun is fired the pressure is 82-85 psi. While gun is being shot pressure cycles from 85-55psi rapidly, but as the gun sits static, the pressure slowly creaps up to almost 100 psi. Should I replace the LPR piston seal,LPR external seal, or is something else at fault? It takes almost a minute to go from 85 to 100 psi. Also, is the pressure drop to 55psi while shooting a normal drop (spikes down to 55 psi, doesn't stay there)
Anyone have any ideas, Mark

either the O-rings need to be replaced, or the whole LPR is bad...I just had this creeping problem on my LCD, and when I sent it in they said the LPR was bad and they replaced it..

Start with that little o-ring at the tip of the LPR piston. Cheapest fix and easiest to get to. If that doesn't fix it, then maybe the whole LPR. Probably the o-ring though. Good luck.

Oops, my bad. I was thinking about the piston in the reg. The LPR doesn't have an o-ring. I think you'd have to replace the whole LPR.

Actually the LPR does have an o-ring. It seats against the piston shaft......

You will see if if you look down the hole in the LPR main body. As stated above try replacing the piston o-ring and while you have the piston our put a bit of grease on the piston shaft. that will re-lube that small oring and you might eliminate some of your creep.

also make sure that your shaft is not scared or scratched up in any way.

If none of this helps.....might be time for a new LPR. Inexpensive and easy to install.
