View Full Version : How Do I Know If I Have the Opto Board?

Ok, initally i thought I didnt have the opto board in my fly iR3, but then someone told me that the opto boards are black plastic and display 'MEM 4' when you turn on the gun. Now, my board is black and it does display 'MEM 4' when you turn it on, but I'm still not sure...can anyone tell me for certain how to distinguish an opto board from a normal iR3 board? Thanks.

The board should look like the attached picture, and like J.Fearing-AOG said it doesn't have the usual mechanical microswitch.

aHA! That looks EXACTLY like mine! Guess I do have the opto board after all...

you should have been able to tell just by pulling the trigger because the non opti boards dont have a microswitch so does that clicky pull.

Yay I have the opta board, but whats the difference? Does it really matter?

You know i actually do not have my trigger pull very short. If I have it short i can not get a good rythem. Just the way i have it.

shorter trigger pull = faster ROF, if im not mistaken. ;) I personally like the short, mouse-click triggers. I already had my trigger set pretty short but now maybe i will experiment with it a little...
