I cleaned my Speed the other day (after some dirt snokeling) and took apart the Mini reg, the LPR and the valve to clean it. I lubed it back up and put it all back together and I am noticing a FSDO.

The Mini reg is at a consistant 350 and the LPR is at a consistant 79. I mean to say this because I noticed no leaks in those areas. I put a drop of Love Jiuce on the valve stem and noticed no bubbles but the leak may be slow.

Settle my mind here. IF this was a leak, which part would likely be the culprit. I used to get this problem every once in a while with my LCD and remembered it was a leak, but cannot remember what seal to change.

THanks,

TF

Higher your dwell that solved all the the Tag factorys Guns.

How do others think about this fix. Could my dwell be too low?

As he said, raise your dwell. It will increase the amount of voltage going to the solenoid and should get rid of fsdo.

I was told in Chicago by the WDP techs that the prefered dwell setting was 12, or 5 led's ilumintated. If that helps at all.

12 is rather high, I suggest charging again, or trying 10ms. Which tech did you speak to in Chicago?

I actually spoke with Eric, at both the NPPL & PSP. I am also using the long WDP volumizer with 190 mini reg pressure.

12ms does sound really high... everyone I have spoke to has recommended 8ms.

You left out information. What is your LPR at?

If you are refering to mine it is approx. 6 bar, slightly under.

Yeah... thats around 90psi I think... i need some conversion factors here... but isn't the speed lpr supposed to be around 80?

1 bar= 14.503psi
6*14.503= ~87 psi
Your angel should be at 82psi, you can take out a shim if you'd like. It's not a big deal your LPR is a little high.
IF you want true low pressure, you can lower your LPR pressure and up your dwell. Bad efficiency, but it's LP. (if you have volumizers)
