hi guys,

two months ago i bought a second hand LCD.
some time ago i noticed that the battery was dead after not using it for about two to three weeks.
i then made shure that the powerswitch was turned off and left it, but still it would be completely drained when i picked it up.

seemed to be prob with battery.

luckily i was able to have it checked out by an WDP tech at the Amsterdam Masters: i told him about this prob and he agreed that the battery needed changing so he replaced it.

yesterday i picked up the gun for the first time in about two weeks and lo and behold: completely drained...
once again the powerswitch was turned off...

if its not the battery then, what else could be doing this?

the original owner btw didn't really have this prob it seems...

any ideas?

batteries dont drain unless something is still running... like car batteries you may have the car turned of fbut the headlights on drain the battery stuff like that... just open up the gun and check your connections to all the solder joints and make sure no wire is hanging off or on a crummy solder joint... give it al la check and trace the wires.

thx for the replies guys.

i haven't had time to check the wiring yet, will do so sunday, but i too was thinking that it had to be something still being turned on or so. hadn't really thought of loose wiring though, wouldn't really expect that from such a f-ing expensive gun.... ;)

í'm 100% shure that the switch was turned off btw, checked and double checked it.

in reality i won't really have a prob with as i can indeed just always recharge it before use.

but still i'm a bit disappointed that, even after having it checked by an official WDP tech for 40 bloody euros, i'm still stuck with a gun with "a defect".

Open the grip and check if any of u wires is strip, and making contact with the metal of the gun.

Its not the guns fault. I wouldnt expect it either, but its not even the guns fault. Somthing was probably damaged by owner. This seams apparent by the fact that you said that the previous owner had no problem with this.
