LCD Year?

I just bought an angel lcd from a regular at the feild I play at and we are not sure about the year. The breech block has the number 8961 hand engraved in it. Any ideas???

By the way the number is on the underside of the breech.

Does it need a tab to turn it on? They made those for the year 2000, but after that they had the switch. Check that and it will tell you if it was a 2k or later. Also I would email WDP and ask them the same question with the serial number. They should be able to tell you. Hope that helps.

Yep it is either a 2k1 or a 2k2, so you are good. Ya i am sure there are some people on here who might be able to tell you just by the serial though... So keep asking.

the number sounds like a 2000 to me, it could of been he just got the battery upgrade

and the milling, if it has the diagonal "slots" cut in the back, its a 2000,

I had a similar question a while back. I am pretty sure mine is a 2k dark LCD but it has a switch to turn it on. This has me a little puzzled. Any thoughts because I am even more confused now that something was mentined about a battery upgrade. The milling says 2K but the switch says newer?

they are older guns, just with the newer batterys put in them

and i forgot to mention, any of the special lcds had the switches in them (i.e., darks, cobras, stufff like that)

hey my dark is 2575, its the 2000 dark milling, so taht means they made like 6000 darks?

Ok, take off your grips, and look at your board. Look at the top left of the board. Tell me if there is a silver "band" around a cylindrical shaped silver thingamabob... Sorry if my explanation sorta sucks. If there’s a silver band, either it’s a 2k1/2k2 OR the previous owner got a new board installed

And with a new baord, it might as well be a newer marker. The battery is the major thing that the 2Ks were lacking in compared to 2K1

i have alo of new stuffi nmy 2k dark, new ram, new board, new battery and i think a new 14 way, but these were installed before i got the gun

Yes, we are all ignorent. Other people dont have questions about what year there gun is, and im sure they dont want to see how they can find out what year it is, now do they?
