Yes,
Spelling is important.
If someone was asking something about their hammer, but spelled it with a "u" instead of an "a", we'd all be asking him where he expected to find a hummer in his angel, not good.

Look dude, this was all just a joke, I think you're getting a little defensive. I understood what you meant, but I don't think there's any denying that it makes things easier to understand when everyone spells things correctly (or at least legibly). However, I don't at all understand the logic that I should make special accomodations, and take more time to read posts to compensate for the errors of others (I don't see why YOU are asking ME to read more carefully when I'M not the one who made a mistake). But anyway, it was a joke, you're taking it too personally, and I for one am prepared to drop the entire subject (and quit jacking this thread) if you are.

Well Im not.....If you cant take the time to read the thread and get what the other person is saying weather it be correct or incorrect gramaticly, maby you shouldnt read it and move on to the next thread. Dont hastle somone because they dont want to go back and correct a word in their post. If you can understand it then just keep going and pay no attention to it.....Such as in this post, was there any point in telling people it was spelled incorectly? Did you know what they were talking about? Exactly, so keep reading like it was spelled correctly or if you are having trouble with it try to figure it out, im sure you can use more then that 3% of your brain you have been using.
