I just picked up the Halo B at the AO. I tried if for the first time this weekend on my Fly IR3. It work perfectly for most of the day then in one game it stopped feeding. I had to shake the marker to make it start feeding again. I had fresh batteries in it.
Then the next game it worked fine but again the following game it did it again. I was using fresh small bore diablo paint.
I am not sure what the deal is. Should I send it back or is there a fix? Any idea or help would be great.

check the wires to make sure thers not one loose that could cause it if it getts bumped right and the connection is lost.

well if you were shooting paint with a black shell that might be the prob the halo censor doesnt cence the black shell and it thinks the is a jam so it stops feeding, all you yave to do is flick the ball detent or turn it off then turn it on aigain

I thought I heard that the B's didn't have the shell color problem. That was one of the improvements that the B had over the A...

however I agree give Odyssey a call. I've heard nothing but good things here in Texas about them.

Halo B's dont have problems with black paint. I use all black paint all the time with no problems.

I have a Halo B, don't use black paint! I have already burnt 1 motor up using half black shelled paint. It says in the OM in big bold print DO NOT USE BLACK OR HALF BLACK SHELLED PAINT! ....

You must have had a problem with yours because me, my dad, and teammate all have Halo B's and all use completelly black shelled paint with no problems.

No, Halo B's dont have ball detents. The Halo A's do. And the Halo A's had very bad problems with black paint but Halo B's dont.

I know Halo B's don't have ball detents...Im trying to make sure his isn't a Halo A instead of a B... :) ....I don't see how 3 peeps are getting the IR sensors to pick up the black shell....

I also have a HALO B and i can use black or half black paint just fine in mine. My teammate also has one and he can do the same. That is really weird though how some people can and some cant use the black paint.

I have a HALO B,can't wait to use it on my new LCD.It comes with a revvy too,but I hate anything BE is involved in(Viewloader,JT,etc),so I might sell that, but who knows.......

check the wires that connect to the drive motor, they sometimes break loose and shaking them causes the hopper to feed 'cause of the circuit completion. I can almost guarantee that this is the prob. ive fixed quite a few of these. oh for an added bit of information the halo's spring clutch eliminates the need for the detent, which was there to prevent bobble. also to whoever couldnt see why the halo didn't see his paint its cause of the brands shell. Odyssey couldn't say dont use this paint (lawsuit) so they said dont use black paint in general

On my LCD and my Impy the Halo B works fine... no matter what color paint I am shooting or bore size... but the force feed helps in the long run at least then you are not waiting on gravity to push the balls into the feed neck...

same here. i have a halo b and they both say don't use black paint. they are to expensive to even be flirting with black paint in my opinion.

also, you may want to tape your batteries around the battery housing.

that's strange. i'm working on 6 cases now and i haven't changed them yet. it is supposed to shut off after it detects no use for a certain amount of time. i'm using energizer but I do carry an extra 6 just in case. maybe ditch the everready.
