Hey guys I was wondering is there any special way to install a volumizer or can you just do it my taking the front plugs off using an allen key and then screwing the volumzer in.

Thanks John

just unscrew the plug and screw in the volumizer (make sure it has the correct o-ring on it )

Yes Cross-Threading is very easy to do. You'll notice the threads are very fine I'm not even sure what the thread pitch is on those things, but it's high. And once you cross thread it you're in for some work trying to get it recovered.

cross threading it is when you put it in at an angle, and the threads don't line up all the way....when you do this it's very difficult to get it off without the use of tools, usually it will be cocked at an angle, and it may or may not seal properly...this will also damage the threads on the gun so you won't be able to put the cap on either so it will need to be retapped. Sometimes you can get away with just chasing the threads sometimes you have to re-tap the hole. Aluminum is a very soft metal when it's that thin so be very careful.

i had a friend that cross threaded his boomstick once, it wasn't pretty to see him with that vice grip and wrench trying to get it out

J. I think it was his 7 year old brother that did it. lord knows why he was even near his paintball crap any way

//EDIT// it took him forever to get that barrel out, and it left some serious marks on his barrel, and gun..... i don't hink he had to have any thing done to it tho.... it was amazing that the threads weren't totally trashed

Just as a side note.....make sure you Angel is not gased up when removing the plug or volumizer. Otherwise you'll have a mess lookin for your LPR.
