I do but i didnt vote cause i have a speed and its not really the same thing. there is no reason not to use cops on a speed cause it works flawlessly and lets you shoot faster.

I have never been a fan of cops, i never liked it. But i have a speed and WDP sure made some changes cause sensi is soooo much better, like mooshoo said. But i think if you have a halfway decent loader and turn down your MROF then you will be fine...

Sincerely,

The jabbster

i dotn get it, what is so bad about cops, only people that have problems with it are the ones that dont use the right settings

I just got my IR3 on Thursday and put some paint through it today and it worked perfectly. The batteries are even old but I did not chop even when walking the trigger. I know for a fact that COPS saved me at least once!

My cops worked the first time I used it with my old ricochet. Then I cleaned the gun, and wondered what all that "extra" grease was under the sensor. Then the gun would set cops off with the recoil. At some point after that, I broke my cops sensor. But then I got my Halo, haven't had a problem without using cops, just had to get my Halo to work with my iR3.

i broke the yellow rod inside the sensor i think a whole new sensor thingy is 20 buks at theangelguy.com

Cops will work perfectly if you guys just set it right. Sensi is just a little evolved but one of the main changes is it sets the settings for you when you turn on the gun.

I have always run with it on........works flawlessly! Then again, I've been saying forever that I like COPS so it shouldn't be any surprise.

Ive never had a problem with mine other than a pinched sensor wire. Other than that it works perfectly.

what exactly is cops, some kind of eye? and what angels does it come on???

MoogLe
06-08-2003, 10:25 AM
yea it's a "crystal operated paint sensor" what it really is, is just a small black rod that sticks out under the feed neck and detects if a ball is there, if there is none it will slow down your shooting to 2-3 bps, so its kind of like an eye but eye's are a bit more effective, it comes on angel IR3's and a newer version of it called sensi comes on the new angel Speeds

Moogle - Actually that is how COPS1 works, lowers the rate of fire. With COPS2 it delays the bolt cycling 'X' number of milliseconds ( X = BAS setting, 1-20 )

Actually I like COPS better than an ACE system. With the ACE, if the Eye gets dirty, say a broken ball, it will no longer function properly. Whereas with COPS, it's physically detecting the ball, so breaking a ball will not affect it.

Set properly, COPS2 works great, although it would be nice if there was an option to have the marker not fire if it doesn't detect a ball. Both Systems have their advantages and disadvantages.

oh thanks for explainging that, i never understood exactly what BAS does, so bas is the amount of miliseconds it delays the bolt right?

i like the cops. ive only chopped once with my friends momba ir3 with the ace on. for some reason, i can chop with almost any gun. ive chopped with my friends cocker(very lp freeflow), a mag with lvl 10, and my matrix. the only gun i havent choped with is my friends 2k1 aced angel. i should be getting my dark ir3 soon, im soooooo excited!

i used my cops once and chopped with it then i started turning it off which eventually led to me taking the whole sensor out. I used to use a 12v x-board and never chopped. I just got my y-board egg and havent got batteries! It all has to do with rof i kept my rof on 13 with 12v and never chopped.

hey do 2k2 angels come with cops? or is it an aftermarket thing??

acoenfam1
06-10-2003, 11:42 AM
The only guns that come with any kind of anti-chop system stock are the IR3 and Speed. There are a couple of companies that will install an ACE for you as aftermarket though.

Give Warped LA a call and talk to them. They are one of the companies doing it and I believe Cobra does as well but I cann't swear to that. And as always start with the sponsors and see what they can do for you.
