Not with what they charge for Marbs around here. I mean they want $70.00/case if you can get it! The field out here always has paint but it's not exactaly what I'd call high quality.

I played a tournament a sc the other weekend. We all shot severe cyclone. It was one of the nicest paint I shot. I never had a break, chop, jam or anything. No matter how fast I shot. The fill was very thick and it just flew through the air nice. I highly reccomend it!

Severe paint is great stuff, but there are about 5 different kinds of it. One more expensive than the last. The top ones are expensive like evil and stuff, but not as good. RPS makes the best paint period. Evil is the paint to shoot. If you like severe then order it online, but if i was ordering paint it would be evil.

It's the only paint I shoot. Of course they are our sponser as well, but that was even before we got them as one. Actually that is one of the reasons we did. Because we like the paint so much. There are several different types, actaully they just changed the names on a few. Metalic is now Tempest, and they introduced a one or two more lower grades to keep the price down. In particular I shoot Cyclone and love it. We also get a tournament grade for tournaments that rocks. Won't use it in practice because it stains, now wiping with that paint. I will agree Marbs are good, but to be honest I would still buy Cyclone over Marbs regardless of the price. As for where to get it, I agree not to buy it online. If it comes broken, your screwed. Always open the case when you buy it at store before walking out. We get it at the store in CT. I would ask you local store if they can get it in for you.
Which paint to shoot comes down to buying a few bags of each and seeing which you like. Almost everything in paintball is personal preference. If it works good for you and you like it, then use it. It isn't always what some else thinks. Advice is good, but experience is always better. Don't forget the bore of your barrel makes a huge difference in paint. Paintballs are NOT all the same size. Unless you have a Freak or some other barrel system to match up the paint size. Marbs in particular are a very small bore size. For a good article on how paint is made and more about this go to http://www.ghostpaintball.com/paintballs.htm

OMG, we got a couple cases a some Severe paint for free. It was basically a bunch of different bags of each paint in each case and it was the absolute WORST paint I have ever shot in my life. I made sure it was matching up to my freak as well and a teammate who was also using it was having problems and he was using his CP kit.
It was chopping like crazy in my IR3 so I just dumped it out of my hopper in the middle of the game and put in some cheap Draxxus Blitz and didn't chop a ball for the rest of the day. Another time I was playing at EMR and their field paint in Severe and it was crappy. You would actually see the balls bounce on the ground a few times and hit a wall and not break. I had only two breaks the whole day yet I had about 20 different bruises. The paint was terrible and everyone was complaining about it. I would never buy Severe paint unless I absolutely positively had to.

I've used Severe's competition brand. I was shooting it through my excal.
We were playing on a small speedball field, so most o fthe action was up close. I had no chops all day... But the only time the paint broke was when you gogged someone! I got into a shoot out with someone 10 feet away, got hit 7 times, and not one broke.
It was basically like that for the rest of the day. Unless you hit someone in the elbow, knee or mask, it rarely broke.
That was the competition paint though. I'm sure their higher end stuff is better.

Hey destructiveinc, Ultra Evil... Where can i get some of that... Anyone know anything about this paint??? Ohh and the low-end severe is like worse than BE paint... But the high-end is good like marbs.
Sincerely,
