what do you do if the cops contact rod does not work. im thinking it isnt long enough. the yellow rod is good if i tap it it will pass the drop test. but put the trigger frame back on the gun and tryit with paint no pass.
Any Suggestions Please!!!!

I just recently replaced mine (about 50k on the counter) I'm actually wondering about how long they are supposed to last, I can tell by the one I took out that it's worn down quite a bit, might also explain some of the small problems I've been having lately. Guess we'll see Sunday when I play again........

There should have been one with the spares kit that came with the gun. Did you check to see if the "channel" was clean?? That might be causing some of your problems.

If not one comes in the spares kit you can get from the sponsors along with severl other things that aren't in the one that comes with the gun.

nope tried another trigger frame that works, and no good.
Well, don't know if it was the same problem, but your guidelines certainly helped me.
For some reason my COPS didn't work anymore. Initially I tried with the spare rod and nothing, but, as in your case, tapping the yellow strip with, say, an allen key made it work. After close inspection, and getting ready to ship my 'gun, I noticed the yellow strip was covered with tiny droplets; maybe splattered paint or grease but I definitely could see the "dirt". Using a cotton swab, one end dry the other moistured, I carefully cleaned the yellow strip. And voila!!! It started working.

did you maybe try highering your SENS?

Definitely try that. An alen wrench is a bit heavier than a paintball, now matter how soft your touch is.

It is probably not a good idea to even touch the yellow wire stip on the sensor. It seems pretty fragile to me. Not sure exactly when but my cops stopped working and it was because the strip on the sensor had broken. New one is one the way(maybe monday). Deffinitely check that everything is clean and that the rod is not too short. after a while it will get worn down. I like to put a drop of oil on the rod when I clean the gun to mke sure it slides smoothly..
Has anyone heard of someone making an aluminum COPS rod?? I think that It would slide better and snag less (mine has a couple of burrs on it that I need to sand off before I get my new sensor).

an aluminum rod would not be a good idea...it would cut a deep gash in your bolt instead of wearing down.
as for the yellow strips...they're metal, when they make contact is when the signal is sent to allow the marker to fire....touching them isn't going to hurt them.

and oiling the rod isnt a good idea twitcho, it should be dry, oil is only going to make it collect more dirt

Why spend money when there may be nothing wrong with what he has, it might just need normal adjustment. Dude if you haven't allready, bring up your sensitivty a little and do the drop test.
