I was planning on using Dow Corning 33 lube on my Angel Speed I'll be getting next week... It's also known as Shocker lube... I know of a great place to get this stuff real cheap... ask if you're interested. I don't want to spend the rediculous price they charge for that little bottle of Angel Love Juice unless I have to. Does anyone know if Dow Corning 33 Lube is a good lube to use on Angels??? :puzzled:

I tend to use it on my RAM o-rings and a little on the hammer shaft.
As to whether or not it is really okay for an Angel, we'll have to wait for input from someone else.

It's fine to use as a substitute, but I wouldn't recommend it.

If it's a decent substitute... What type of lube is is Angel love grease and juice??? I mean all they do is buy grease and oil from some major manufacturer and bottle the stuff... not to mention sell it for 5 times it's original value... For example, I found a site that sells a 5 oz. tube of Dow 33 (same exact stuff as shocker lube) for $12... You'd be getting a deal if you find a tube of shocker lube (2.5 oz.) for $12. If you know what type of oil or lube angel love is please let me know...

and what kind of dow33 do u use??? cauze I went to a auto parts store and they can get me 2 different kinds as in a light and medium..I ordered the medium since I would think it would be "thicker"

Actually, you're gonna want the light grease... It seems to work a lot better on electropneumatic guns... The light grease is made for faster moving parts with less load per square inch... Just like moving gun internals. The medium grade is for slower moving higher load parts... I got some medium grease and tried it on my gun and it seemed to whipe off of the internals a lot easier... but that's just my experience.
Here's a link to the sight with great info on the grease and great prices...

Anyone else know if we could use Dow 33 on Angels... I've also seen people selling Dow 33 as Angel lube on Ebay... Check it out??? not sure if that's enough to convince me to use it on my gun without having more people reply that have used it already...
check out the ebay ads...

I use White Teflon grease on all my angel parts, the **** is super slick, doesn't 'Chalk' up like dow33, and its mositure resistent, I mean hell they use it on marine engines, waterpumps, and ****
I would have to say that it depends on your particular climate.
I know that the industry has been using Dow 33 for many years. It originated because a lot of markers before use to use CO2, and with CO2 we experinced freezing down. And DOW 33 is designed for extreme temepratures.
Now with compressed air, we don't have that problem, so temperature is not a problem, and I am not sure if most companies just kept using DOW 33 because it was convenient, or that it works well.
However I do know that in hot and humid climates like Hawaii, we cannot use DOW 33 because it collects moisture. This moisture collection in the gun breakes down the DOW 33 and causes all kinds of problems.

You can use it on some parts but not the bolt. The bolt is supposed to be self lubricating.

I use it on my angel, works fine. I do live in a dry climate, no experience with the grease breaking down.

Yeah... I've been using it since I posted this thread, and it works just fine. I pretty much use on all my guns/parts except delrin... From what I hear/read, it sweats and swells causing bolt sticks. But other than that, I use the stuff on everything.

I don't think you would want to put it where the hole is in the breech. But oh well everybody says u can. Ya u can use it for the hammer.

yea, when you are oiling a paintbalgun, your gonna want to go with light stuff.
when you are lubricating small parts on any machine your going to wanna use light oil, for example, Soda machines use left over car oil that has been filtered and reprocessed into crystal clear oil that pretty much has the same consistancy as water, this type of oil is good for delicate machines (usually ones that have some glass or ceramic components)

well the light viscosity dow 33 is not so much for higher speeds its for colder temperatures and the medium is for high temeratures, they work the same as for velocity goes. From what i hear if you mix Dow 33 with silicone lubricants u can make a pretty awesome mixture. i have used it before on my old impy. since they are both silicone based it works. u might even want to try to find a silicone lubricant with teflon for superior lubrication. lol i sound like a salesman

I use dow 33 on my ram and lpr o-rings.. Never put anything on ur bolt... And i would put like 3-4 drops of oil in ur ASA and shoot it through your gun every 8000 cycles.

dow 55 is great, better than Dow 33. I use white lithuim on the side if i can't find my 55 but it's thick and needs a little work on like gel it to soften up. Mix a drop of two kc trouble free with both.

Do you mean TAG? Sorry but your wrong. TAG uses Dow 33, love juice, KC's, or the stuff he's come up named after his son Moogie, which is a mix of KC's and Dow 33

you are absolutely correct...i mix dow 55 and shock fluid "rc shock lubricant, pure teflon" and it has to be at least twice as slick as anything out there...it doesnt break down or cause any buildup...and costs about a third the price of love juice...but thats just between all you and me :sshh:
