Hey, I recently was having the worst time ever with my IR3, every shot higher than 3bps would chop. So after hassleing my proshop about it for a few weeks and getting tune up after tune up, i decided to retire my egg2 and try my old revy w/ intellifeed. Well it was my egg2 that was causing the chopping problems, with my intellifeed set at cmrof20, wiht cops2 on i didnt chop once. So my question is, what could be causeing this? i tried my egg on another ir3, and it didnt chop, and it seems to be sitting all the way in my feedneck, and i am out of options. It is brand new, wiht y-board. help please. i have a tourney next weekend:puzzled: thanks,

Kyle.

maybe your detent is very badly worn, eggs are supposed to be partially force feeding arent they? correct me if i'm wrong but thats what i heard, try a friend's detent see what happens

if it is working with another ir3 then its got to be your gun, not the hopper. i would say the detent is busted, creating a HALO effect where the balls are being pushed past and "doubling up" the revvy is very low pressure so doesnt chop

How would i determine if my detent is broken? it still has plenty spring, and balls dont go past it.....thanks.

like i said before, try using your friend's detent on your gun and see if it still happens

Try the other detent, and then check the ram adjustment on your chopping iR3. Look in the technical reference section for Ken Crane's Ram tuning guide.

your cops 2 should take care of the chopping, but if you have a bad ball detent, then it will cause this... check out the cheapnes of the paint too... crappy paint = crappy results... just buy a speed and use the egg on that ok? hehe

I have seriously been thinking about trading for a speed. Its less than a month old, and 11k shots on it. Mosat from the trigger adjustments, do you think it could be the detent? i wont be able to try the other one till the weekend so...until then im stuck:( thanks
