Ahh thank god. We need experts to give these little talks, don't forget to stress how safe it is now.

Make sure you put in the spin that we are not a bunch of militant extremist... Its really bad when outsiders that don't understand the sport and condem it's very existance. Speedball has done much for our sport, pulling away from camo and showing others that it is just a sport, not a cult (not flaming woods play). Funny how church groups make up some of the larger rental groups that visit a local field here. ok, ok....off the soapbox....sorry for ranting...

People (the public) dont' like to hear this but it wasn't started my a military group at all or in any way. It stemmed from a bet in a diner between three hunters. They were talking about stalking and being at ease in the woods. One of them was a forester and had access to the original Nelspot pistols. At that time they were used to mark selected trees in foresting and cattle in ranching. The three guys headed to the woods with Nelspot pistols and settled their friendly bet. Paintball/splatball was born that morning. I believe this all took place in Maine, It has been a long time since I read the article in Outdoor Life.

Hey guys, thanks for the awesome indo on the history, i know and take offense to people who think its war cuase its not its a sport. I have a delema with our school board, i want a couple buddies to join a paintball team for the school, but the school board will not let it pass becuase once again they believe its war. When will they learn, anyways Gary I totaly agree churh groupsmake up a large majority as i attend church and have gotten huge groups to go out to our local field. Once again thats for all the info.
