the Speed doesnt have that much of a kick at all, i shot my friends, and fell in love. so light and fast, with hardly any kick at all.

kick depends on a lot of things. Supposely lower pressure reduces the kick. I haven't shot my speed yet (comes in tomorrow) so i can't tell you how they are. However, timmy's and esp. imp's have kick when you start ripping on the gun. Its really noticable and you have to hold onto the gun firmly or you won't even hit the target consistantly.

Dont worry DLDS. The speed doest not have very much kick. When you air it up you will see. Then you can show that guy your gun how it rips with out hardly any kick. Then ask him what he was saying about kick... he is probalby just jelouse that he doesnt have a speed.

kick is good cuz if you know what your doing you can shoot really really fast

To a certain degree. If you are kicking to much the 2nd shot will be a foot higher then the first and that would suck.

not if you know what you are doing

maybe my speed is different from everyone elses?...
It is probably that my gun weighs 5 pounds, 11 ounces (extremely light...ultralite barrel, conquest tank, stock speed..)..thats with no hopper though.
it has a noticable 1 shot kick, and when i start shooting fast, the gun tends to rise a little on its own, but i know how to use it so my 2nd shot hits where my first shot was (if good paint)..but if, for instance, im burning lanes then stop shooting all of a sudden, my gun drops a couple inches from there being no force pushing on it to make it rise...
sorry if im confusing..lol
L8ER!
Hey DLDS,
This is not meant to sound mean at all, but lets say the speed has some kick...so what, its an air powered weapon, c'mn, put that shoulder into it and fan the SOB, if your worried about kick on a 900 dollar marker, there could be something wrong with what you find in this marker to be, like performance, ...Kick?

DLDS- i have owned 2 SP vision impys and a tricked out toxic impy with all the goodies. i can honestly tell you angels in general are better guns than impys when it comes to quality build and reliability(especially that). also, my impys kicked ALOT more than my ir3 did, and my speed kicks less than my ir3 did. its a simple rule of inertia. impys have alot more weight driving the hammer/bolt assembly than angels AND impy bolts run from 130-200 depending on if u have an lpr or not. speeds run on 70-80 psi which makes it kick less too. besides all that technical stuff you will notice by shooting an impy that the barrel tends to rise as you rapid fire. an angels barrel is nice and steady when u rapid fire. i could never figure out what all those angel kicking rumors were about when i got my ir3...... point is, angels in general kick less than impys AND timmys(not matrices though) and the speed has the least kick of all the angels. dont worry about it bro.

Wade, i see what he is gettin at though about the kick. it can be annoying. like with my LCD, it was pretty bad until i made some adjustments. but with the Speed, it doesnt matter anyways cause there is no kick...
ahh :) thanks a lot !!!
canīt await my first game wit the speed :)

My nasty impulse hardly has any kick and I can rip on it like nothing because of the magno trigger.

My speed feels like a spyder when it comes to kick compared to my brother's GZ.
hmpf
difference expiriences....

Remember guys though that everyones gun is set up different. Somthing as simple as a tank can effect kick. A 88 will give a lot less kick than a 45. Or say a remote.

The kick seems to be just enought to make pulling the trigger easy on my iR3. It seems comfortable, not jumping all over the place.

My speed definately has little or no kick compared to my IR3. Furthermore, has anyone tried putting a bigass volumizer on their speed, running the input down to 180ish? How's the kick then? I've heard from people that shot Rocky's speed in Vegas that he has the thing running at 160-170 and you can barely feel it shoot.

i think it would all be dependent on the weight of the bolt and the hammer...the heavier, the more kick

it doesn't ALL depend on the weight of the bolt and hammer. More importantly, the speed and force at which the bolt and hammer are required to move to reach the desired velocity must be considered. Lowering the operating pressure lowers these values which is why the speed, operating at 300 PSI out of the box, has noticably less kick than my IR3. Lowering that even more should all but eliminate it.

well isn't force made up of velocity and mass?

f=ma (force= mass x acceleration) not velocity and mass....

right, but you need to consider the "f" for three main factors. The paintball (the least important), hammer, and bolt.
