ok I want to buy a drop or asa so my pe 88/4500 stubby tank doesnt hit my hand, but I want good balence to be kept. I am using an egg with a y board. Keep in mnd i dont want to spend that much.
And yes i did a search but did not find exactly what i was looking for.

use whatever is comfortable to you. I prefer a med to small drop, so its easier to shoulder. I personally use a shocktech and i love it.

I use a short KAPP drop put on backwards. The speed is WAY to tight. can't use it without a dropbackward.

If you live by a shop bolt a couple different drops on with the same size tank and try out what works best. It may take some time but it will be worth it. I decided to go no drop but i have a tank without threads. For me the 90 degree frame and conquest shoved as far forward as possible is all the drop i need.

moo how do you mount your conquest on your speed?

The conquest comes with a mount (thats the rectangle thing) and the conquest has a rail that lets you slide it on the rectangle thing then tighten it down with a screw. Doesnt wabble and lets me play tight and its pretty balanced.

so i need not buy anything in addition to the conquest itself. sweet. I was planning on putting a 68/45 conquest on my speed so thats good.

You might buy a tank cover though. Its an expensive tank and you dont want it scratched. I love the Dye tank cover. The rubber grip on the back makes it great for posting on your shoulder.

if u are looking to use a preset tank get a check-it unimount by all means. big drops suck IMO. i know its preference, but cmon guys, how do u play with a gun poking your eye. i know pros dont go dropless for nothing. you have more stability and less "pivoting" action by the marker kicking which means better accuracy. you also have a better view of everything going on without a gun in your face. anyways, a check-it unimount makes a HUGE difference in feel compared to a stock asa which feels kinda long and goofy and its not even close to a real drop. its perfect. i also like the shocktech minidrops but i still prefer a check-it unimount. anyways, heres a pic for you:

how does this sound-- black speed, clear egg w/ y, cp micro drop, on/off asa, and a 88/4500 pe hp. Balence wise, how will that setup feel?

sounds good but id go with a crossfire 88/4500 stubby LP output. its the exact same size as the PE one. the only difference is it has a 450 psi output and speeds work MUCH better on 450-500psi than 800+ psi.

CP ASA + CP Mini drop is perfection -- puts my tanks regulator under the frame, but keeps the tank directly behind the grip. Perrrfect!

Hey guys i was thinkin' about a Shocktech mini drop in black on a stock black speed and an 03 68ci conquest with and egg2 w/y-board? Anyone want to comment on the balance of that?

Thanks,

The jabbster

I have the Dye Long drop on my angel speed and it really isnt that long. I love it, it is the perfect size for me and i have a 68/4500.

How about the Angel AIR drop that comes with the AIR, I think it is very practical. Not to much on the eyes, but the 6 hole one works great.

Sincerely,

what color is your speed, if its black or blue. CP makes a razor drop and asa that color match, not sure bout silver

jabbster: the mac dav conquest already comes with a dovettail mount and it balances perfect on any gun with it.
