I'm curious. When I perform a Sensi drop test as per the manual instructions, I only get a 'pass' about 50% of the time.

If you perform a drop test 10 times, how many times does it pass on your Speed and how many times does it fail?

u know...i have noticed that it takes some force down on the ball for the sensi to pass the test. i tried just dropping it in their and didnt do the test, but when i put some force behind it, it passed.

Interesting. Mine seems to work just fine without any extra pressure on the ball stack. Works every time dropping a single ball, or putting a stack in the feed neck and letting them roll back out the breech. detects every ball that run through from a stack of 3 or 4.

MMMMmmm, that's interesting ac68886. Every single time? If that's the case I think there may be something amiss with mine.

Out of interest, did you get the Speed with the silver barrel and rubber barrel shroud or matching coloured barrel?

I only ask as I'm curious as to whether this is only a problem that effected the first models or something...

Can any one else perform this test and let me know the results?

If you don't have your manual to hand...Just hold in the green button on the grip frame and turn the marker on. The centre two sections of the LED will illuminate. Then drop at least ten balls down the feed tube one after the other and let me know how many times you get a pass (opposite parts of the LED flash for a pass) and how many times it fails...

i think wdp put good ole defective batch of sensors in the speed. mine acted up all the time and just like you, i only got 50% passes. i had to push down on the paintball while it dropped in just to get it to pass consistently. i made sure the sensi rod had no grease on it, checked for other debris, etc. NOTHING helped it and because of it not detecting paintballs it would stall and skip all the time when rapid firing with sensi on. anyways, TAG sent me a new sensor and it works great. 20 passes out of 20 drops from only 1 paintball's height from the sensi rod. its not realistic dropping paintballs from the feedtubes height so do what i do: take off the feedtube and drop the paintballs in from only 1 paintball's height. if u dont get at least 8 or 9 passes out of 10 chances are your sensor is just defective like mine was.

Weird, I was getting no passes at first so sent my sensor off to Frazer. He said it was defective and sent me a new one back. Fitted that and now I get passes about 50% of the time.

It seems like this one must be defective in some way too...

my gun was also studdering bad out of the box. my sensor was bad, i got it replaced, its still studdering and my gun passes drop tests. this is with a halo and an egg2. im trying to resolve the issue right now.... but pretty lame that the only gun I have bought new in 2 years doesnt work right out of the box :(
