I have a problem. My dark Ir3 is stuck at 265FPS. I have not touched the internals at all I just messed with the velocity and pressure on my tank and I cant seem to get above 265. If any one has any opinions on what might be the matter i would be grateful for your info.

probably something in the minireg.....usually the air source or the minireg are the culprits when you can't get your velocity up

am am almost sure that the culprits are the problem because some one at my local field said that might be the problem. How would I mess with the culprits exactly the guy said if you add some it increases fps or something like...

I had a hard time trying to decipher that last post.....it almost sounds like you're saying someone was telling you to add a shim to the LPR or something? Am I close to being right?

There's a couple things worth trying. Do you know someone else that has a minireg? If so borrow theirs for a couple of minutes and slap it on your marker with your air system. Then head to the chrono. If you are able to get your velocity up, then you need to clean and grease your minireg. If it still doesn't change anything then look at your air source, is it completely on? Is there some sort of restriction? You can slap your minireg back on the marker, and try another air source. If it is the minireg, you may have a small piece of macroline or something fouling it up, it happens sometimes. What field do you usually go to? I'm out at Tanks most weekends practicing.

Your post sounds like you are saying that the culprits are the problem as if they are part of the gun. A culprit is something that causes problems, commits wrongdoings, and so on. I hope you realized that and if you did I'll shut up now.

no, I was not at Tanks on Sat as I was playing the PEPS event this past weekend. I play with the Houston Hurricanes. We are usually there on Sun practicing. We should be out this Sun as I think we are getting ready for the 7man in a couple of weeks.

My guess is that it is a worn out exhaust valve.
Since you have to remove the mini reg and LPR to get the the exhaust valve, I would suggest getting both of those checked also. But here is the skinny. If the exhaust valve gets worn to the point where the body gets embedded into the seal, it is not capable of opening far enough to let enough gas pass. Therefore, low velocity.
Quick solution: sell it and buy a speed (disreguard if not humorous)
