Today was a good day. Went out for some pball with the trusty LCD. It's not actually mine, i just sort of have it by a friend's negligence (he left it at my house and kind of disappeared). Since I dont get to play with it often, i was very very very impressed by how it performed. With a halo , maxflow, and a freak, the gun was fast (12-13bps without even thinking), consistent, and accurate. The only ball breaks I had were in the barrel, and that was due to super ****ty paint, swelling paint (very humid) and mud in the barrel. I'm so satisfied with how it performed that i'm having trouble justifying buying a speed. what will a speed give me that an LCD won't? i know, SENSI, space grip, yadda yadda... but who needs sensi when you have a halo? Can anyone who has owned a really sweet (not just run of the mill, not so good) LCD and moved up to a speed tell me if there is a big difference? if the performance today had been any better, i would have juiced my pants. Kdog, I want to hear from you in particular. You came up from a cobra LCD to a speed. Cobra LCDs are some of the sweetest guns ever made. Is your speed really THAT much better and faster? have you noticed much advantage being able to shoot 15-16 bps instead of 12-13?

thanks to all in advance.

Oh, you guys might be interested to know, my friend and I had (1) a PE 68/45, (2) a dye ultralite, and (3) an LCD charger stolen from us at the field today. The dragnet pimps that we are, we called the cops on the kid who we were positive took the charger, using it as motive for te other stuff. a 400-450 dollar theft, it was a felony. After the police called his house, he and his friends gave his dad the tank and barrel to give to my bud. While i'm happy that the tank and barrel are recovered, i still want to beat that little flucker for stealing my charger, especially since i let him borrow it in the first place...

the moral is... if you have a gun or something stolen, dont hesitate to call the cops, because with high dollar things lke this they get on the stick pretty quick and deliver results. it's alot better than making threatening phonecalls and breaking the kid's legs.

with the speed you'll have probably the same results you had with the LCD, fast, consistent, accurate, paint only breaking in the barrel.

but with the speed, you're probably pushing 17-19bps, vs your 12-13 with your LCD.

with my speed, with sensi off, i can outshoot an egg2 w/y board.

and I actually get a few pops with my halo too, with sensi off.

so you can see, these guns really shoot .. . SPEEDY.

sorry, i had to.

I moved from an LCD to a Speed, and although I have only played 1 day's worth with the Speed, I do think it is a better quality marker. I dont know if it is a vastly better marker though, that would depend largely on the individual.

Rate of fire is obviously better, for some people that alone is enough to make a huge difference. IMO accuracy is crisper because of better consistency (in my case anyway) and/or being an easier gun to sight with and hold steady while in a game situation. The Speed is definately tighter than the LCD, and much lighter too. For me personally, these rather small advantages are very valuable and make the move to the Speed worthwhile.

the gun kicks less then the LCD, which gives you a steadier shot

speed123- thats just nuts. 21bps....damn.

anyways, i think its way better than any lcd. you might have had good luck with that particular lcd/halo b setup but its rare. heck, half of those barrel breaks could have been from double feeding from the halo b without you even knowing. besides that, its all the little things that make the speed THAT much better. sensi as a backup incase you outshoot your hopper or are having hopper troubles and need to resort to your trusty ole revvy, not to mention it works pretty damn good for an anti chop system. its just insanely fast. i havent hit 21bps but i definitely have hit over 17 where i cannot get past 14 on an lcd or ir3. even that makes a difference to me when sweetspotting somebody off the break or something like that. the more paint you have in that string the better chances you will get the sucker out when he runs through it. besides that, the LP operation allows for a smoother and quieter angel. the space frame rules. it just goes on and on. if u got the cash treat yourself to the better gun and get the speed.
