Syentific......if you look back at the old giveaways, like last week, it's a completely random drawing of members who have been active within a certain period of time before the drawing. Typically it's something like 48 or 72 hours before the drawing.

Um, I search to answers for my own questions, thank you very much. On odd occasion I'll reference another thread, to back me up more than anything else to answer another person's questions. I have done that quite a bit lately due to the only really reliable source of info for the SPEED being our Sponsors/Techs and Frazer which have sparingly given out said info. :thefinger

Isn't that kinda discrimatory against people who live in weird time zones?
I spend alot of time travelling in europe...

Also if you had a constant connection couldn't you just leave a browser open on the forum page? I have dailup and try to get 4 posts a day in, but they are at weird times and I am not on for very long.

doesnt matter where you at or where your located or how muhc you post, as long as your browsing the forums in some way w/in th elast 24 - 48 hours depending on how i set it your eligible. And know you cant just keep a browser open because the session dies after so long of no activitiy doesnt matter if the browser is open or not, its all done in the databsse/

Im just hoping they have more prizes like this! Or heres an idea. What if to be on this forum you payed 1 dollar every 2 months and it all went to money for prizes. We could vote on big prizes worth more (less chances of winning) or smaller prizes worth less (more chances of winning). Just an idea.

It's a good idea, actually. Some forums have gone back and forth with paid access. In the end, this is an awesome forum where the info is top notch and the members are great with informational posts. I do think that paid access would hurt the forums though, but on the giveaways it could be paid access, that sounds fair, kind of like the Lotto.

Ya if we did that then used it to pay for prizes then there would be less people here to recieve them as well....The ones who couldnt afford to pay the 2$ or how ever much.

when you think of it though its not that bad. say 2 bucks a piece. With 100 payees we would have 200 bucks. Buy a great barrel and give it away. Thats not bad odds and if you loose your out oh my god 2 dollars. That would mean I would have to go without two cokes while sitting at home typing.

Also, the paying AOG members could decide what to give. If everyone wants to wait till the pool gets to 1500 to spend they could give away an IR3. If they only want to wait for a 100 then maybe a egg2 or boomy. There cou ld be a thread with a poll and everyone votes. I hope everyone understands that.
