Ok, my dust silver speed should be here soon (within a week). I right now have a black yboard evo 2. It feeds consistently around 17 bps.
What i am wondering is that if the dual ball detents have fixed all our halo problems with angels?
I want to hear peoples opinions that have a regular halo b and people that have the new TE software on them.
I don't want to be outshooting my hopper all the time and i want a halo b. I'll probably get one of the new ripdrive ones with the te software. I just want to make certain that the speed will hold up fine with them.
Thanks,
Shawn

i havent heard of anyone having problems with the halo b on the speed...as a matter of fact, most people are saying its the hopper to get.

thats what i wanted to hear, any other people have something to say?
I'm running a Halo B w/TE software, and I'm having no problems. The ball detents get the job done and you can't outshoot a TE Halo.

I have just a normal Halo B and have had no problems with it. As Marbalfire said I believe most people are saying the Halo B is the hopper to get for the Speed.

Get the Halo, it's the preferred setup.

i play with a halo on mine, and i know of several others who play with halos with zero problems.
but a friend of mine's speed did have problems with his halo.
with his halo, he was chopping with sensi on (mode 1 and mode 2) and he was chopping with sensi off with a RoF set to just the three green lights..
so i assume his halo was forcing the balls slightly past the detent causing the gun to chop the next ball in line.
this is the only speed/halo combo i've heard of with this problem.
I know it was the halo, cause I slapped my halo on his gun and it shot flawlessly.

might need to grease his belts and stuff. I'm going to run it on a low rise to so my ball stack is never too much pressure on the bottom ball

I talked with Bob Sandifer (the angel guy) about this for quite some length when I went to go pick up my speed. He's done his own tests and from his experience it's hit and miss- he'd get a bunch of halo's and test them all out on the same gun and some would work and some wouldn't. About 1 in 5 would fail, if I recal correctly. Knowing this, he recommends an EvoII Y-board w/ Sensi on instead.

i think it kinda relates to how large your ball stack is as well. Because the larger your ball stack is, the more pressure you have on the bottom ball. I know when i had a matrix, people had a really tough time using the stock high rise with a halo b. However when they put it on a no-rise it worked flawlessy.
This should also help a little with the speed when you put a low rise on it. There really is no use for the gated feed anyways with a halo b because the balls can't roll back up in the hopper.

go halo w/ low rise
can't miss
