i just called warped (2 places) one said the speed demon is being talked about and the other said it'll be out in like 1-2 months... i couldn't get what it'll have on it or whatnot but they will be around shortly... nice huh? i called orignally for tech help and all the guys were at a meeting (suspicious huh? maybe its about the new speed) they also sounded liek they couldn't say too much so you know it'll be cool cuz of warped's ability to pimp guns out...

i wonder what warped will do with the milling???? something brand new, or something that resembles the past dark angels..... well have to wait and see. personally id like to see something that brings back the same concept as the old milling like with the flames on the side, but done in a more futuristic fasion to suit the speed well. either way i LOVE my dust blue speeds milling and color so i wont be buying one, im just curious on what they will look like.

well....i called Gerwin at warped yesterday and they will be here in 2 months. They have to decide on a body style, decide on colors and ship them from england (by boat). Then they have to clear customs ad all that fun stuff. They are supposed to be bad ass.

yeah me gots one of them. warped did a really good job on that. my friend has a 2k2 C+C and his is a lot heavier than mine and he uses a 45/3000. needless to say, a base lcd weighs more than an elephant. i would hope that warped is able to keep weight in mind when they design the milling

The speed demon will more than likely have volumizers. Not the ugly wdp ones but Warped ones. Not worth $300 but hey, what the hell? And $300 isnt for sure. For a fact, it is going to be atleast $1050.

I just ordered my Speed. I will be selling my IR3 for a Warped Speed (I am willing to pay bout $150.00 or so). But if it is $225.00 to $300.00 more than a regular speed, I'll just buy another plain Speed or save for a Speed LCD.

ok guys i talked to Mr. Poorman from Warped and here's whats going on for the SPEED DEMON.. they are getting annoed now and should be out in 3 weeks.... they will have different colors and totallly different milling design.... they will come with a black trgger (maybe a different design too not sure).. .volumizers will be on there, and it will have a rear gripper,(aka snatch grip)

I have had a Dark LCD for about 3 years. I love that damned thing.. but the only reason is that it is black. There were 25 black made and 5 of them were reannoed Pewter by some dudes (I even think one of them was Dark Ripper the mod) making only 20. I have seen one other in real life and it was owned by Gerwin from Warped.

I got a hook up price...(Really the only reason I bought a Dark over anything else) but for those who did not they paid a ****e load more for some different milling. The marker shoots exactly the same and does nothing different.

Don't get me wrong... I love warped.. But I think the Dark series is a racket. A different pattern on a C&C machine (that has to be milled anyway... it costs WDP nothing more), a different color (that has to be annoed anyway... it costs WDP nothing more), and a 10 dollar snatch grip is not equal to 300 to 400 dollars difference.

I simply don't care anymore what my marker looks like.

If there is one thing I have noticed is that Adrenaline markers have NEVER made it to the podium... Not in the pro's hands at least.... That is because it is just some milling and a fancy anno pattern. For the most part, chodes who want thier gun to look cool so that they can pimp it in the parking lot or the dead box care how cool thier marker looks.

The players that actually ball look like they use thier gun as a shovel. That is becuase they play as hard a they can.. and they gun pays for it now and then. I am proud of scratches (when they are earned) and feel that any marker too pretty to handle that does not deserve to be sold.

Buy what you want.. but if your pimpin it in the parking lot... be honest... you bought it so that it looked cool.... not because you planned to ball your ass off with it.

ok TAL good point on the looks... the cool thing you are failing to see here is that Speeds are now anywhere from $950-$1000, the Speed will be $200 more so lets say $1150... you'll be getting a new trigger ($35)
Rear Snatch Grip ($35)
Volumizers ($50 probably maybe more)
so thats like $120 in parts alone... then add the extra $80 for the more epesive fade annodizing and milling and for warped t get a small cut... you'll be getting cool stuff with it and as i see it now, these will be the first guns people can have volumizers for.. they are sooo hard to get and some would probably pay mad money for... so..if you are spending mad loot on a gun.. I WOULD HOPE IT LOOKS GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU TO ENJOY IT... i never bought a timmy cuz' i hate the way they look... do what you want shooting what you want, but don't hasstle others who are proud to have nice looking or different guns that are different from the others out there...

Bottom line is, people will buy what the industry perceives as the best marker, and people will buy what they like the best if they can afford it. Do warped's markers peform better than a regular WDP speed (without volumizers)? No. Personally, I don't think they are going to charge 200$ more, that's too cheap for them. How much do I think they will cost you say? About 1300-1400. Why? because they can, and people will buy them. I could be exaggerating, but warped ir3's on sale are 1300. The only reason I would get one is because I can get a discount on one. Who knows, maybe the milling they do is the best thing we've ever seen, and they do sell it for about 200$ more. That would be great, but they wouldn't make as much money in the past. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what warped is doing.

Yep once the milling program has been done then it takes roughly the same time to mill as a different design but do you really know what goes into doing the design work and then all the programming, it can take quite some time, I know because I do this everyday for a job.
P.S. it is a CNC machine (computer numeric control) not a C&C machine.

If they are 1 to 200 more, then I say you guys are right. Volumizers, better anno, and snatch grips, as well as a unique trigger (now if it is just a stock annoed black....) the deal is probably worth it. NOw if Warped throws in thier lifetime warranty... I would be all over that...

I guess for me... I got real tired of watching 12 year olds standing in the parking lot fanning the trigger of thier Mexican Camo Adrenaline LCD and NEVER actually playing with it because they would get blown through the holes in the netting. I extended this to most top end 'customized' markers that did nothing but looked cool (and in the case of the Adrenaline... cool is used loosely...).

ya.. for me i cant justify spending $200+ on something that im going to trash in a tourney anyways.. but that is up to you.. If you really care about the milling and color. For most real tourney players.. they buy what is cheap and stuff.. infact most of the people out by me either shoot:black, silver, blue.. thats it.. the whole fade and milling is most of the people playing walk on. The real tourney players trash their guns.. haha but that is a different thread. No performance difference.. Only fancy additions!

the warped warrenty only covers labor.. but if you read the manual and learn how to use your $1000 gun that you just bought you wont need that warrenty. If your at a field and your gun breaks, are you gonna stop playing and send your gun in for repairs.. 1 week later they call you and say.. problem solved then send it back to you 1 week later? I think not... Remember your spending $1000 the damn thing better not break, or you should learn how to fix it. If your fortunate like me to live near a warped sportz, that is cool.. but most people arent. As for volumizer, coloring, milling etc.. I dont need that stuff to shoot straight and accurate.. while getting on the trigger and shooting fast..

ok.. When you purchase the gun from warped sportz.. it comes with there life time warrenty anyways.. if you make friends at warped sportz.. they work on your gun anyways. It doesn't matter if you know how to work on the gun, unless you have boards availibe to swap, or say a spare ram or other odd parts that could break.

Reading the manual and understanding yoru gun can only go so far, you can't resonably be able to fix everything, because some things are over your head and the gun must go to a factory to be fixed.

Right now we are only doing solids, fades will come later. Red, Black and Pewter are our first three colors.

I think that these will be the ones for like 200 more than a regular speed. I am sure fades will cost a bit more knowing how warped usually does it. As for me, I just got done ordering my blue speed from TAG. I wanted like a blue to black or blue to ice fade but am not gonna wait a month or more and pay an extra 300 for that. My speed will be completely blue and chrome :smiley:

One volumizer is a bad idea. Now, if you want to put 2 on your gun, you have to go out and buy a wdp one, which probably is a different size, and doesn't match. Are they going to come out with their own volumizers? Warped made a bad choice on one volumizer....

The speed demon will be out in July, it will be available in 3 different colors, the milling will be different than the milling we have done previously to our other dark models, the marker will have accented black parts , it will come with our lifetime labor warranty, as well as a maximizer to lower the pressure of the marker, and a snatch grip for easy travel :) and will cost 1200.00 -

Talked to Mike at Warped Sportz HQ today about the speed, ships like first week of July, first colors are like a dust red, dust black, and a fade or two. It will have the gripper and volumizer, plus milling and the warrenty.

I like the sound of that Dust red, hope it is going to kick some ass.

nice on the pics- and those talking about how the warped volumizers are nothing compared to wdp, ur stupid because volumizers do nothing for your gun. You will get maybe 15 shots more, if any, out of a full fill. "The volumizer gives a bigger air chamber, so the gas can expand and your reg isnt constantly sucking air out of your tank." Well, lets think, slow yer fingers down to about 1-2bps, this might work. Also, Nitro/Compressed air doesn't need to expand like co2, its not a liquid, its already a gas, when you are rippin ur gun, ur not going to get efficiency or consistency. Also, i love it when people buy 2 volumizers, one of course will go over the battery cap. What a performance upgrade guys! congrats

Vols are there to not let the gas expand but allow for a staging area for the gas to sit and wait to be used while shooting long strings. This is so if your tank is not a high enough flowing tank, then you will not get shoot down?? I think i am right.

If you had thought about it you would've known Speeds are totally redisgned internally, and volumizers allow for much much lower pressure, the battery has been moved, internals redone, so get a brain and remember, think, then post, always in that order.

No. The pre-order is where you pay for one before it is released. Then when it is released you get one of the first, but you have to pay for it before it comes out. And the price will go up after it comes out. You can pre-order them for $1095 but you will have to pay $1200 after they come out.

It told me that I could pre-order them for $1095 and they would be availble in july. Check out Warped Sportz KC and ask to be on there mailing list. That is where I got it. well I live in nebraska and was able to go close to the warped speed demon enough to get a picture of it. Granted to say it wasnt what I expected it was. TO say te least I am dissappointed in it. At least they could of done some milling on it or whatever. Well here are the pics.

It is nice.....but actually I like the stock milling better, I just like how it flows. :evilgrin: The demon just looks like a toy to me. Warped sportz could have done a lot better. Plus, I know I have the best warranty service available for my gun (from TAG of course) so I don't care about the warped sports warranty. TAG is a lot closer to me anyways, so I won't have to send my speed too far for service. So....chromed out black speed for me! right now I am waiting for the d*** UPS guy, lol. I guess with all the hype though everyone will like it, just because it is from warped. In my opinion it is just another stock milling option. Warped really does need to start doing some upgrades to their guns to make it more worthwhile to buy from them.

i think it looks bombo, but after awhile milling is boring to me. I mean, theres so many different kinds of milling out there for angels (lcd and ir3 and now speed). My dye or mamba don't even really do it for me either

but i can say that it is definately an improvement over the speed, because the old speed reminded me of a rat impulse. i hate impulses, i hope they die.

ehhh, I have seen better. It looks so much the same that there is no point to spending an extra 300 bones or whatever it is. I do agree that there should be some upgraded parts on it, but on a speed what is there than can be upgraded besides what they are doing? All the internals are the best of the best. I just think the milling could have been a lot better to make up for the fact they couldnt add to the internals.

we are adding a maximizer which will benifit the markers ability to lower the internal pressure of the marker down to 180psi......

actually the retail price of a stock speed is 1000.00 , because people / stores sell them cheaper, doesnt mean that the msrp is any different than 1000.00 , our marker is selling for a MSRP of 1200.00, it doesnt mean people wont sell our marker cheaper.....
anyways... 200 bux more, not 300, we sell our warranty alone for 200 bux (150 on the site) , so thats our warranty(200), maximizer($30), two finger gripper($30), and a different milling.....

Man all this waiting for almost the same design as the regular speed angel? This sucks.. If you buy your speed from Warped.. They fix your gun for free.. Doesnt matter about the warrenty. As for a volumizer, back plate, Gripper, .. This is all very cheap material in a manufacture's point of view. Owning a Metal shop myself, To anodize, or mill, or even shape metal, In the quantities that they are buying, We are looking at $1.00 cost to manufactures.. It would cost me to buy 1 piece of Aluminum, $3.00 and to mill and anodize it would cost me a total of $6.00 and to charge $50 is a rip off.. So Just buy the regular speed. I do see that the Warped Speed Demon is a cool looking gun, For the added charge, is out of price range. But this is just me. I cant even get my speed angel working, I bought it through Warped, and the thing still doesnt work. What they are doing to fix it? They should just RTV this thing and give me a new one.. but they wont.. :( Good company.. Warrenty is useless.

and anyways guys, I thought one of the main selling points of the speed was being able to cut some cost.....I mean 1200 bucks for the same gun with milling that is only a little different is not worth it, not to me anyways. That is approaching IR3 prices (before speed came out). I will admit I did not like the speed milling at first but now I love it, and IMO it is still better than the Demon milling. If anything that gun should be the same price as a regular speed, with the volumizer and snatch grip being offered as a $50 add-on.

Looks almost excactly like the WDP Speed with a $1200 price tag on it. For 1200 you guys should have thought ahead and done a nice fade not 3 colors that are all dust. Very dissapointed. I must say.. Im more then a little disappointed. I mean, I wasn’t going to get a Demon anyway, but I expected a bit more from Warped. Ok, sure all the extras and the warrantee are cool, but god knows you can get a life warrantee just about anywhere.

What gets me though is the milling; it’s almost the same as the stock and doesn’t seem to shave much more off at all. No change to the feed, no change to the reg. In fact, when I first saw the pics, I didn’t realize who posted them and I thought it was just some joker posting pics of the stock speed Photoshoped a new color.

Which brings me to color... just new dusts? No fades? No gloss? What happened WS? I mean, I know speeds are new and all but it’s in fact EASIER to do things in gloss. Fewer steps required.

Seriously, I was happy with my Speed as is but after drooling over the Dark IR3s and the Class... well heck, I just expected the same quality of work. It’s not like the speed gives you less to work with or anything. But ive ranted enough...

OMG i just saw the pic for the speed demon. I'm truly disappointed. I thought it would have wicked milling, since its from warped. The milling on the breech just looks weird. The stock speed's milling is much nicer in my opinion...It's a work of art. It looks like it was sculptured in the Renaissance. Anyways, i have read at pbstar.com that there might be a Speed Fly in the future. maybe that will be more pleasing to the eye. Back to the subject at hand...The Speed Demon doesnt look too nice but im sure the performance tweaks might be something to be reckoned with.

That was probably a "prototype" photo. Just showing the milling. Notice it didnt have the jewels and not a milled rise. They probably didnt get that in on time for your guy's high demand of pics. Mayebe that is the finished product but i think it was a prototype. I think the milling looks wicked awesome but i wont spend $200 more for ANY milling.

its not my place to argue over anyones opinions, some will love it, some will hate it, some will say oh well, its the same responses everytime i post pics of new products on forums, usually most of the people that have a stock version already will hate it, some of the ones that waited will be disapointed, the ones that have no intent to purchase will be in the middle and thats how it goes, ...i honestly cant say anything
.....i personally stand by every product we make, so my opinion is a bit one sided, i felt that when this markers autocad pics were shown to me, i loved it, i thought it looked better than the stock one, it had the old style tear drop milling going sideways so i thought people would like that particular style (since everyone always wants the tear drops to return...) we were putting on a maximizer that lowers the pressure, a finger gripper, and our warranty, i think its a good deal.... & i still think it looks good, but just like all of you all, its my opinion -
