I but 3 drops in my inlet to my tank about once a month and that is it. Maybe every 6-9 months I put some snake oil on a qtip and swab the valve. That has worked on my lcds and I'm sure it will work on my speed.

putting oil in your fill nipple on your tank is a bad idea! depending on your tank it can be very dangerous....

Why. The oil lubes the orings and the system.

i didnt see anyone talking about putting the oil on your n2 tanks fill nipple, but yeah that is a BAD idea!!! compressed air + oil = bad thing... i believe putting it in your ASA though is ok...

I am missing the logic here. If I put oil in my n2 tank that is bad? Why? If I put oil in my ASA where high pressure air will enter the gun, the air and oil will mix and this is okay?
I don't get it, but that wouldn't be the first time.

ok..let say u have a 4500psi tank, as u begin to fill your tank u will notice that the tank will get warm, it is just common science... as u compress air, it gets hotter...now add oil to that...what does oil do at high pressure and a higher temperatures??? one word...boom...Compressed Air(during filling of the tank) + Oil = Bad...
why doesnt it do this in the ASA? first off the pressure is not that great... second the air in the ASA is not being compressed...
hope this helps some...

You are saying that a synthetic oil becomes volatile and will explode in my Tank?

mmhmm...its a good chance...i have seen pictures of it happening...in fact, on warpig a while back there was a warning saying not to mix oil with CA....

read this article....it may save your life...

it is just kinda common sense, y would you put oil in your tank any ways?

You can put oil in your asa, just not in your fill nipple... If you put oil in your asa it goes through the gun and lubricates the internals of the gun, it doesn't actually go into the tank.

yeah, theres really no need to put oil in your tank, if you think the orings are going, just get new ones, they arent that expensive, and they are definately less expensive than a new tank.

After more research I see the "air" of my ways. (that was bad)
Here is what I conclude:
Oil in the tank in large amounts could be dangerous, it could also degrade the interior of the tank.
The air going into the gun even though it is under pressure is much less since it is after the reg (duh).
I will spend the extra 15 seconds to undo the macroline and oil in the asa from now on.
Thanks

not only is it less expensive than buying a new tank, but it less expensive than blowing your arm off and having a thousand dollar surgery to have it reconstructed

lol no it would probably kill you, you wouldn't even feel it you would be dead so quick. And K-Dog, I wasn't sure where I read that about not putting oil in the fill nipple, now I realize there is a bold warning about it in my 03 conquest manual. Not trying to start an argument, just don't wanna hear an obituary post about anyone getting their head blowed off.....
Yesterday a regular member of our forum, K-Dog, was tragically killed when his HPA tank exploded.........
lol you get the poind

mmm...a thousand dollars ? Yarr, Dr. Malpractice!
Also, i've been oiling my nipples for years and they've never burst into flames, although how cool would that be?! I could fight crime with my giant flaming tits.
