Speedball vs. Woods

I prefer speedball definitely. It is just so much faster and a lot more fun then woods. I mean, woods isn't that bad if you're playing with the right people, but you can never go wrong with speedball.

so where is the both column....i personally like a even mix of both...i dont get a chance to play speedball all that much any more considering there isnt a good field that is really local and because i dont have a team. so i play woodsball with my friends and go to scenario games and crush all of the camo wearing freaks...lol
once i head off to college(2004), i will get on a tournament team again...hopefully

Speedball is more fun, but woods ball is great ever so often. There really isn't wood fields around So Cal anymore though. There is quite a few fields though that aren't what you call speedball, and aren't what you would call woods either though.

I like speed ball because its more thinking on your feet and you get to move up more to get angles and i enjoy the fast pase of it.

i would have to say woods is fun cause like 50% of the people who play woods use tippmans and they are all decked out in camo and while there crawing on the ground you run up on them and let the angel do the rest! haha but i play in ohio and most the times you cant see **** so you run around like a lost deer and shot whatever moves and you useally find the people that are hidein in a bush or something and light them up..... but i would have to say speedball rocks way more cause its so fast paste and it involves team work and its where the angel becomes your best freind there both fun

Woods in my book! Tried speedball (even played in a couple of tournaments here), all you do is waste a lot of bullets ( well, thats the way they play it here.) With woods, you get to be a soldier of some sort, and you get to play like one. but to each his own. for me i prefer woods play.

Same game, just not "PC". We coach the PC at the field....we don't kill, we eliminate. They are markers, not guns....paintballs, not bullets. Woods players, going out on a limb here (no pun intended), typically are more military in play style. Nothing wrong with that, though. Saying "bullets" raises eyebrows with non-players and paintball haters. No flames, just observations.

shiiiiiiiiiit even Scenario players doin't call them "bullets" and you don't get much more woodsy than that.....usually brand new players to our wonderful sport call them bullets.....and why? well because they shoot them out of a 'gun' so therefore it must be a 'bullet' right....right...right *cricket chirp*....c'mon guys stick with me here......heck look at the Evil website, they call 'em bullets and clips.....*more crickets chirping* I don't like you guys anymore I'm taking my ball and going to play somewhere else. :angry:

for the woods...the tippman A5 with the flatline kit makes it look like a water cooled Browning... you couldn't pry my fingers from my angels, but the A5 just has that "look"... rambling thoughts...

some woods player look pretty sick with a 1,000 buck A5 with a V stock or whatever and with gliches on. i think we all started as woodsballers (i did at least) with the "war" image in mind but we changed to speedball cus its just plainly better

I myself enjoy speedball the most. I do like to play woods ball once in a while but its just gets boring to me. I didnt mind it much when I was first starting out but it got boring and I enjoy speedball much more just being that it is fast paced and you can pratice for tournys.

Now lets not get to speedball happy, we all love speedball, but there is no reason to hate on woodsball. I love speedball with all my heart, but woods ball can be very fun. It kinda brings out your primal instinct and you think that you are playing for your life and want to eat your enemys... Or maybe that is just me...
