it really depends.....having reffed a couple of events in a 3man series in Houston I've seen all sorts of teams do different things. It also depends on the field. Some teams like to have 1 front and 2 backs, some are vice versa. Some teams are really aggressive and send all 3 guys up field and play out of the mid bunkers instead of backs, and I've even seen teams play all 3 guys in the back bunkers off the break. It just depends on who you're playing to. If you're playing a super aggressive team, why not shoot all 3 guns off the break, and let them run into your streams of paint, it works sometimes. I think you need at least 1 guy in the back giving you some cover, and then start to systematically move up the field. Remember if you get up a body it's crunch time, go for it. Especially if you're up 2 bodies! 5 minutes isn't a long time (3man events are 5 minutes around here) especially if you're used to playing 7 minute or longer games.

when i had my 3 man team we liked to start out with one guy running for the flag(which he got it most the time) and 2 guys in the back which would eventually move up and give the flag runner cover. worked pretty nicely until the other teams found a stopper for it...but then we just changed it up...that is the key, constantly change your game...

ummm what i recommend is that have like zero on one at most shoot off the break... for the most part the game should start like at mid field of each side... like 30 yard line for both teams... always cross shoot and do the leap frog movement like in those military movies or cops movies where the swat team advances and covers the other person... if you play a defensive team... that may all stay in the back.. liek newbies, send one player to do something like a bunker move while the other 2 take better positions for cross shooting the other players... everyone will look at that one player going nuts and they will all be distracted... this is pretty much the same for 4 man as well... maybe keep one back guy but have him to shout out where people are for the other guys and to eventually move up fairly quickly

I personally play 2 back and one foward off the break send one up the field to the 50/40 then get the flag and have him run to their 40. Make sure your backplayers and mowing down laying down tons of paint in the first few mins. Works everytime

haha i love playing your "type of players"... i like it because after my 3 mid players drop your flag grabber (if he gets that far) and then quickly move up and cross shoot your back players... i am always down for a good minute game.. less balls and less time to get worn out... but ANY play works sometimes and like my grandpappy said, "there is never a perfect strategy..." no wait " there is always a.." no not that... whatever well he used to piss himself and forget where she was and stuff... nevermind
