Ok guys... i am putting together some interesting data and have a big hypothesis...
Cobra is definaltly not making a mamba speed.. its a fact (they said so)
nor are they retrofitting the speed internals for IR3's so no custom IR3 from them with speed internals
Warped somehow delayed their making of a Warped Speed??? why?
well, i think that WDP is doing the IR3 with speed internals themselves... this way warped and Cobra can pimp out this model instead of the plain old speed.. with new stuff it'l ltake a new name?
I heard TRINITY on some threads and posts... look up some info guys and tell me what you think... if you simply check out some posts then you'l lsee my info is correct and all that... So savew your money guys you may want this new angel coming out... don't know when though...THis is al ljust a hypothesis so don't quote me on anything.. seems likely though.:boink:

hud???? what you talking about willis? you mean the Heads Up Display??? or the unknown hopper that WDP is supposed to be making? or is it like a missle or something... Heat seeking will be sweet... too bad mine already has it though... its called accuracy. hehe just playing.
It will be a mamba speed. Or dark speed.

Nope i called Cobra and they are not making aything except some accessories fo the Speed like volumizers and junk like that. THey have no intents of pimping out a speed to their liking, nor will they be retro fitting the parts and making their own IR3 with speed internals deal... thus me writing the first post on this thread to clarify that... watch those jamokes WILL make a Mamba Speed just to make me look like an :moon:
Dark i think is doing one up... it'l ljust look a bit prettier and have cooler colors thats about it so far... unless my theory is right then they will be waiting for the mega Speed that WDP is making...

I've heard about it too...the 'rumor' I heard mentioned an IR4 produced and released by WDP within the next few months. Don't remember when I heard it or how reliable his information was, but the source is usually reliable when it comes to Angel information.

I have been told, by a source close to WDP there will be nothing new, marker wise, until autumn...

Benfrain might have a point...on the other hand if a marker meant to follow the IR3 and become the new flagship for WDP were to hit the market say tomorrow (just for example) would WDP have any reason to tell us ahead of time.
It may be a while, but a new marker is in the works by WDP and if there history has said anything, it will blow the rest of the markers right off the shelf.
Here's to waiting, anticipation, and the eagerness to own the new bad boy from everybody's favorite marker manufacturer, WDP!

I was talking to some one, who knows someone, who was roomates with a WDP worker and they said that the next angel will turn into a car and a vacuum and shoot 40 paintballs per second and still not give you full auto. :clown:
I think a new marker is always in the works!

Come on guys. Do yu actually think the Speed was built to be WDP's #1 gun? NO! it was only made to compete with the low-cost Impulses and timmys. Kinda like the 2K3 LCD. I know there is a major upgrade coming up for IR3s though. I have very very very good sources!

I'm so glad I just read this, I was beginning to feel like selling my ir3, I can't wait till the next gun comes out, I'll get it for christmas most likely if it comes out in the fall.

Anyone know what the hell styles is saying regarding the "bright" comment in quotation marks??? Styles let us in on some stuff man.. .come on. it's not cool to be that guy again... don't be that guy styles, don't be that guy... lets see we have so far the following:
1.) A new upgrade for the IR3... maybe the LP internals... or modes of fire option...
2.) something "bright" with the next gun... may be the title of te gun that has to do with light of some sorts or like maye it has a light bright attachment that goes with it.. i don't know... maybe its solar powered? gas efficient...
see if styles simply told us the secret, then iwouldn't be losing sleep over this right now....
STYLES: how about this... we have autumn when it'll be released.. for the IR3 owners looking to get a Speed and have like $1000 to blow... should we
a.) wait for all the glitches to get fixed and still get a speed or wait for a custom one from liek warped or cobra
or
b.) wait until autumn cuz we'll be kicking ourselves in the sac for not waiting for this "bright" thingamabob...
or
c.) tell us and let us decide...
remember, don't be that guy... hehe come on hook us up.. if you'l lget in trouble for telling us then maybe like keep on giving more hints or like give us a place that you heard it from and we can bug them. ok? thanks

Most likely it will be the like the speed, but with all of the bells and whistles. I'm saving a spot under my Christmas tree for the new marker, and will definatley get it from Cobra.

Maybe this will be like the new cobra iR3 some have mentioned earlier. Speed internals with iR3 functions. Or dare I say, unlocked board? Makes sense why cobra isnt making a speed.

Also, how soon, we need dates, or at least months. Will it cost a lot or alittle (or even free)? We need a perspective at least.
If I remember correctly Chris said about 6 months. I don't remember though. Call him and ask.

Lol, but I emailed Frazer about this "Upgrade" and all I got outta him was this: "Speed internals will not be able to be installed in the IR3's"
Ok guys use some common sense for a minute. For one evolution is always in the works, i.e. concept cars you never see on the street but see at the auto shows. Eventually some of those mods/styles/techniques trickle down to the end user cars. So even though the Speed came out and hits a certain price point WDP wanted to hit Im sure they already have a newer IR3 in the works if not totally done and testing. Its the way everything evolves. Case in point: Look at your 1.2 gig CPU that is now ancient but was the shiznit a year ago and you didnt think AMD already had a 1.8 or 2 gig already in the works? You cant run the same peice forever so you have to constantly out do yourself or get lost in the long run. So yes Im sure WDP has a new flagship marker in the works and the Speed as of right now is just hitting a price point/market WDP didnt have before. For some that have no understanding of marketing this will make no sense but "yes" WDP has a new gun....... coming sometime soon.

okay guys, stay with me for a sec. I talked to a friend last might that has nothing better to do all day at work than surf the net. He found a German newspaper that had something in it about this "IR4" type gun that everyone is fantacizing about. the only problem was his lack of German translating skills, so he employed the power of a computer translater to "decrypt" the page. His comp at work is slow, so he didn't get the whole thing translated. I will try to get the article and run it through a translater so I can post the quotes from it. If anyone else knows the article I am speaking of, I could use some help in locating it.

Ps. I bought a speed anyway, even if a new gun comes out a month from now, isn't a month a long time to wait?

Hep, we know what you mean, I mean of corse WDP probably had at least an idea of the Speed when the iR3 launched. But with what has been said in this thread boasts a "major upgrade" for the iR3, not a new gun.

It'd probably be a speed with new milling, and an iR3 board programmed with the sensi software and capable of 30bps.
And maybe, just maybe, if we're lucky, WDP will shine some light on the H.U.D.

I doubt they have a hopper in production, but who knows whats gonna happen. I see Light Speed as the replacement for the iR3.
With the Speed at sub 1K prices, the iR3 is now the "high end" angel.

im with kriptic on the loading system. i have always said that it doesnt matter how fast a gun is cause no loader can load that fast. well except for mine. but you have to reload after 20 rounds. and that kinda sucks there is no point in 30bps if you can only hold 20.

If there was anything on the internet, it would be on here. This is the official wdp site. And who knew about the speed before it was released? We're pretty much stuck here speculating until we actually see the next step in angel evolution.

we didn't know about the speed until a couple days before it's release. I doubt that WDP will release any info on their upcoming products.

Well talked to the guy at Cobra Paintball..He basically said that The New WDP gun is a speed with all of the IR3 stuff on it(LCD.Text.Etc.Etc..} but they dont know if they are going with Sensi or a next Gen of Cops..But Cobra will make their edition with that version.
He also mentioned release date is in or around September for the new WDP Gun.
