Is this CP barrel any good? It looks pretty nice. But is it very accurate, or is it a waste of money?

On my Impact IR3 I have a SS Freak w/14" tip and a 14" Ironman Boomy, but I'd like to have another barrel or two.

Maybe somebody should start a poll on what barrel they like the most. The Freak would probably win.

ANyway, Somebody let me know the low-down on the CP barrel.

the CP's have always been really good barrels, and I know the shop here sells them for under 50 bucks, so they can't be too much more anywhere else. I know a lot of people that loe their CP's. my question tho is...why have a freak, and a boomstick, and then you're trying to buy another? of course I'm not one to talk...I've got a Lapco Autospirit, a Boomstick, a J&J Ceramic, 2 stocks, and then a freak.....

Well, I like the versatility of my Freak, but I wish it was a little more consistent. I like my Boomstick a lot, but it's a .686, and won't fit some of the paint I use. That CP barrel is a .689. I think I'll get it.

The CP is a good barrel for the money. I've got a one piece and the two piece barrels. The two piece seems to shoot better (more consistent).
Right now, I use the Powerlyte barrels the most and like them better (but it costs more). They are quiet, shoot real consistent and accurate. The barrel is highly polished internally.

For the price the barrels are not to bad. Keep one thing in mind though. If the paint is tight or falls thought the barrel, that is going to have an effect on the accuracy of you shots. That why the freak was invented to allow for different paint sizes to be shot out of one barrel.

But, if you have a paintball the fits perfect in the barrel in either the .689 or .685 ect., the barrels shoot fine.

I have two CP barrels. I never use them now that i have a freak, but they shoot darts when you get paint that fits them good.

CPs own man, sometimes you can get them for like 30, they shoot sweet with PMI stuff. Plus, if you scar it to hell, who cares? It's only 45, less then a Freak or DYE tip.

Yeah, quality control needs work, but I find they still shoot good. A good alternative if you shoot a boomer and want a large bore without dropping mad cash.

I use a CP Pro Barrel Kit. I have all 4 Fronts and 3 of the 5 backs. Greatest Barrel I have ever used. I plan on getting the other two backs. Pretty Similar to a Freak but i like it a lot more. I bought mine used on Pbnation for 115 shipped. I would go with the CP.
