I have an A1 coming and my only tanks is a HP. I'm considering doing the MiniReg mod so I can use it for a while before I get a LP tank.

For those who have done the mod,,, Did you notice any premature wear? Any peformance issues? In doing the mod am I really risking anything?

Thanks in advance for any input you guys can offer.

By the way,,, This is my first post here,,, Nice place you guys got.

I did the CP mod and put a cp reg on it. ive never had any problems using a HP tank. Just as long as your presure setting are right you should be good. Its just like using a HP tank on any other gun that has a low operating presure with a normal reg on it. The A1 recommends LP for a stock setup becuase the mini reg is designed to have a input of 450 or so.

I haven't heard of anyone having issues with the mod. I have on with a LP tank, and one with the mini-reg mod...both shoot boobies all day...no problems.

I was wondering about doing the mini reg mod the other way round...

let me explain : I have two A1 who suffer poor efficiency when I use the crossfire LP air tank I have recently bought ; so I decided to do the following :

- for the first one, to have the minireg mod done , and use a 68/30 tank with HP preset ( looks like the thing is working alright from the loader I have just emptied from my window )

- for the second one, I was thinking of using the spare spring and add it to the stack in the minireg , and get more efficiency from the 68/45 LP crossfire airtank since it is pretty useless right now...

What do you guys think about that ? Is it foolish or not to have 7 springs in the stack ?

I will try to gauge my LP tank tomorrow before doing anything...
