just got an a1 not too long ago and it shoots great. i currently am running it with a 45/45. the problem is the field i've been going to lately only fills up to 3k and 3.5k if i'm lucky. i get a vlocity and 3 pods. i'd like to be able to get at least a hopper and 4-5 pods.

so here's the question. should i (A)just up my tank to a 68/45 (my 45/45 is going out of hydro soon) (B) just get the magno kit and keep my 45/45

I'll 2nd that but I am biased. I just like the feel of a 68 better and I am getting a Velocity and 6 fatboys with about 1200K left. Exactly how long have you had your A1? Takes a little breaking in, seemed like about 4 cases for mine and then it just kept getting better for about the next 10 or so.

i haven't had the a1 for that long. this was my first time out with it. i got the gun used, but i replaced the ram and lpr on it so i guess you can say it's pretty much new. yeah i knew about breaking it in.. just that it kinda sucks when i'm playing back to back games i pretty much have to be the decoy for the second game because i'm out of air.

I'd get the magno kit...it doesn't change the way the marker feels in your hands, it doesn't change how you shoot, it has no other side-effects. It will cost less (unless you plan to trade the 45/45 that's almost out of hydro) or about the same anyway.

Or, you could borrow a 68/45 and see how it feels, what kind of effeciency you get and then make a decision with more information.

well i used to play with a 68 before my house got broken into and they jacked all my stuff (jan of last year). so ever since then i've been playing with the 45. i like the way the 45 feels, but just wanted to get the most bang for the buck right now.

I hear you. The improved efficiency is more bang for the buck in my opinion...would you rather have a more efficient engine or a bigger gas tank?

Efficiency will be there across the board. Then, if you really wanted to show off, you could put a 68/45 on there and shoot a case of paint...just because.

i was leaning this direction.. but i needed to get some confirmation. who knows.. if/when i sell my pm7 i might just get both...

7 locklids and a VLocity...in an event. Only had 500 psi left, but damn, what a game!

I'm getting a 68(PMI) tank.......but I still want to upgrade to the Magno package (FMA has it all for sale...thanks Bob!)
I've heard that with the Magno , a 4k fill in a 68 tank you should be able to get 1600 -1800 rds (300 fps)....but no one has yet to review iether the Magno/A1's or the '08-Fly.
I'm currently running a 45/45 tank....and am lucky to get 650 rds of a 4K fill.
As I said I'm going with the consensus on this forum and getting a 68/4500 as a begining.

ok i made my decision.. sold my pm7 for 300 so just to save some money i'm trading my 45 for a 68. then i'm gonna try to get a used small bore kit. going to use my current internals as they are still brand new and fight the urge to buy the magno kit. i have no will power so i'll most likely pick up the kit when more people start getting them and post their reviews.
