I was browsing for hammers that wont ****in chip out on me and that are light weight when I came across the Extreme Rage Titanium Hammer for the LCD. I was wondering if any of you have it and reccomend it.

I would use a stainless hammer if the brass doesn't do it for you. The titanium is too light in my opinion.

You should keep the brass hammer, it is the best for the Angel. Unless you are have problems, get the stainless steel hammer. As Styles said, the titanium hammer is too light.

Spend the money on a tune up...the brass hammer doesn't chip if its in tune.

If you can you should get the heaviest hammer you can find cause ......reason the heavier the hammer the harder it its the valve the harder the valve gets hit the lower the operating pressure is,so logicallythe lighter the hammer the higher the operating pressure is. And makes less shots per tank! so if you can find one get a stainless one or a nikel if you can find one ;)

Are we excluding the possibility that the brass hammer striking the exhaust valve stem will not cause brass debris in the breach? I find it hard to believe that anyone, no matter how well tuned your guns is, doesnt experience brass shavings now and then...:puzzled:

ALL brass hammers will chip, its a given. Im front, and my Angel is, yes, over weight, eve though it weighs like 6 or 7 pounds, its too heavy. I know a Titani hammer wont do that much shayt. But, its a start. I might get a Cobra SS Hammer.

The higher pressure needed for the light titanium hammer to open your valve would not be worth the ounce of weight you save. If you can retune the gun to work with it, tinker, then I suppose anything is possible and it could work better. But simply the gun was not designed to work with it. Even the stainless hammers such as the Cobra you're looking at try to keep the weight of the stock brass hammer. If you have a stainless hammer installed I would strongly suggest having a tech do it. However if you aren't seeing brass chips I would keep the stock hammer in.

And yes i've seen perfectly tuned guns show brass shavings. Sometimes if the valve body isn't centered correctly it can cause them to chip faster too. Like so many things though, if it ain't broke don't fix it!

yeah dude best advice i think is to leave the stock brass hammer in I still have mine and it rips!!! It will shave over time but thats no biggy and wont really effect performance just make sure you get your gun serviced once every year and you should have no worries. As for getting your gun lighter get an all aluminum barrell take off your volumizers cause they dont do a damn thing and get rid of the chrome. Just little things at a time and you can have a gun a light as mine;) getting a preset nitro system allways cuts off a noticiable amount.
