So over the weekend me and my buddy decide to try and get his old guns working in hopes that he gets back into the sport. We take his dads a4 (I think that's what it is) w/ euro board and plug the charger in, turn the gun on, the gun goes through the boot up sequence (led's light up in clusters) and then charging mode (led's lighting up 1 by 1). It charges fully, after being left off for at least 2 years. We then take his 2k2 lcd fly, black/pink fade, super rare I do believe, and try to charge it. When in the off position, the board goes through the boot up sequence, but when I turn the gun on, it does nothing. Same board btw. The led's don't light up or anything. Dead bat maybe? Leave it charging for a super long time perhaps?

Let it sit like that for a couple hours and then try again. The battery might just be really dead. On the other hand, the battery might be completely toasted and need replacing. Try taking the charged battery from the A4 and plugging it into the LCD. If the board doesn't respond, the board is bad. If the board does respond, then you can isolate the problem to the battery.

We fixed it last night. As it turns out, both the battery and the solenoid wires had broken from the soder in the switch (which someone else did; it shouldn't have been sodered to start with seeing as how the leads have holes to put the wires through. But we put the wires back on and slid the heatshrink over it and it charged just fine. Now I just need to pay him for the set of eyes I owe him...

The leads on the toggle switch should be soldered, not just put through the holes and sealed. They come soldered from the factory. Just don't over do it.
