View Full Version : Does the Speed Pinch?

Here's my big question, does the lower lpr pressure of the speed allow it to pinch paint?
Can somebody with a speed do a test? Ya know, hold the thing upside down, hold a ball halfway in the chamber, and fire a couple of times.

I am sure it will not pinch when it is stock. You would have to lower the pressure with volumizers
You will have to get the pressure quite a bit lower than the 150 they mentioned (using massivly huge volumizers.... err should i say 2nd barrels) to get it to pinch

but the "pinching" part is controlled by the lpr isnt it? the 150 is output pressure from the mini reg I believe. If I am not right please correct me.

ill be willing to bet it will pinch. my ir3 along with several others including TAG's have pinched numerous paintballs flawlessly. i even dangled a ball in the feed tube using a peice of scotch tape attatched to the ball. i could pull the trigger up to about 7 times before it would break it. i used rps bigball. that was at an lpr pressure of like 90-95. the speeds runs at like 60-70 or so. im sure it will pinch paint for the most part depending on what paint you use.

My speed has chopped a couple of times. The worst part is that when it happens the bolt sometimes gets stuck forward and the air begins venting down the barrel.
There's no worse sound to hear during a game then venting air coming from your marker. The first time it happed while chronying I didn't know what happened.

according to a test on an A/C forum , most paintballs pinch every time at ~50psi, and britte ones like Evil pinch often only at under 40.

That may have been my problem. I was using Evil paint at the tournament.
