2k2 Dark with Mass shoot down

Gun has worked perfectly forever. Running 68/4500 A.I.R. I think thats where my problem lies.


Turn gun on. Air it up. Go live. First shot shoots hot second shot shoots ok. Third shot barely outta barrel. Then I can hear the gun charge back up with air. then it shoots very hot. Then drops of rapidly then shoots super hot again.(after it does and audible recharge) Now the fron screw on the A.I.R moves when you shoot. Since the problem has been occuring it moves a lot. Really far in to really far out to the point that it will leak air till i fire it enought times to get back into a normal parameter.

The kicker. It only does this after a fill. After 100-200 rounds works perfectly.


Help Please. Or should i send the Gun/Tank to Bob?

whats the tanks output at, also whats ur dwell and lpr set at. alos is the battery full. could be your noid might be getting a bit old. have you put any love juice in here in a while or relubed her?

Meticulous isn't the right word. But she has always been well taken care of. Just did a tear down on the gun relubed everything. Havent touched any of the settings on the gun ever. Came pro sets from warped and i havent touched anything. Never changed fire modes. Only thing ive adjusted has been the air. As I was told by the warped techs. Pretty sure i run 400ish Psi into the gun. It is Fully charged. Not currently but i have the problem regardless when it has been fully charged. The angel air batteries are still orginal. Never bothered to change em. Never needed them. Set my gun up then adjust the air goin into the gun until i hit 299 fps.

well it may be your settings. they fluctuate. get the tool kit to verify everything.

I think its my A.I.R reg. i dont think its the gun. Been using it the same way regularly for 6 years. Just bought an A1 and now the dark is pissed and doesnt want to work right. Figured it was time to buy something with Eyes. . But the Dark was working flawlessly for that amount of time. Could be the setting I suppose. But i doubt it. Probably just need to send the gun/tank to FMA and have them both retuned.

Try the Angel AIR tank on your A1 - see if it has the same problem. Then you'll know whether it's the tank or not. Isolate the variables. Alternatively, if you have another tank, try it on your LCD, see if has the same problem.

I actually have another angel air that just got back from being hydroed. Ill swap em out.

The A1 is set up for pretset tanks. Dont want to tear it all apart if i dont have to.

Ive been meaning to test the second tank out but it was expired and i actually forgot about it being gone. But yes thanks thats a good idea.

Any one have any ideas why it works fine after i fire it 100-200 times?

The Angel AIR is adjustable - you can just set it for 450 psi and it's the same thing as an LP preset.

Your Angel AIR's reg seat and/or seals may need replacing. That could potentially be the cause of what you're describing.

I am too lazy to fight the Macro line. I am 100% its in the AIR at this point. I'll see if the other one works. I'll send the broken one to FMA. Pretty sure they rebuild AAs.
