Magno Valve & Fly Ram

Both my A1s now have the new flyweight ram and magno valves fitted as of today (1st shipment of valves landed in the UK earlier in the week).

One of my guns had the CP adaptor and a CP HPR, not having an exhaust valve gauge (or gauge port in the CP reg) I used a gauge screwed in to an old ASA and dialed the CP reg all the way in, screwed the CP reg in to the ASA and fed it with macro via another ASA and a tank. Wound the velocity screw out until I got 200 on the gauge (as recommended) and degassed it all a couple of times and rechecked it.

Used the CP reg on both guns to set the LPR to 55psi with the internals fitted.

Dwell set to 6

Get to go to the field to shoot tomorrow, one is being loaned out, but I'll see just how much paint I can shoot through the other with a full 4500psi fill on a 68ci SCI tank through a HP (750psi) CP tank reg, will set velocity over the chrono in the 290 - 300 fps range and, hopefully post up the results after.

Did the ram come with a knob or did you have to transfer the old one?

First batch arrived at the APS HQ this week, guess you guys will get yours soon :)

Oh the body on the Ram is a sort of oxblood red colour, not gold like the pics

Results:

Chrono'd gun to 296 +/- 2 fps

Filled air system to 4,100 psi (68 SCI tank/CP HP Reg)

Shot 7 pots & full Vlocity before refilling at 1250 psi, then shot Vlocity & 6 pots before filling at 1500 psi, didn't get a chance to just pour pots through until it stopped cycling as the field was quite busy today.

Paint was Draxxus Recsport and the barrel was stock A1 with a .695 back as the paint wasn't top notch so I just banged a big back on thee to avoid any breaks, would expect better efficiency from good paint and a better paint to bore match.

Good improvement over what I was getting before, and well worth it IMHO

Didn't get the chance to see what it was like on my 2nd gun as it was lent out to a friend who's team A1 is being sorted out for next weekends Millennium tournament.

A very small allotment of the valve kits were sent to England for QC purposes and those stayed in England and a handful of that lot were hand carried to Jacksonville for a few lucky players. The US shipment has yet to ship and as I have stated a billion times, as soon as the shipment is actually confirmed we will contact all of our pre-order 200+ and then post an update here.
