Ok so here is the problem! Before I gas up the A1 the bolt and hammer move freely. I dont know if this is normal or not! Now when I gas it up the gun hisses at me from the ram. I thought it was coming from the valve not being seated right but thats not the case. now AFTER I FIRE A COUPLE OF SHOOTS THE LEAK GOES AWAY! and the marker runs like a champ. Ive changed the seals on the ram but the one inside that you cant change and the noid seal has been changed and it still happens. I also get a burnt rubber smell from the back of the gun which I can smell with the gun completely closed up. I posted this in another thread that I started with the AIR CONSUMPTION but being this is another porblem im reposting. Someone said that the burnt smell may the the electronics. Its not the electronics im 100% on that. I work with them so I know that smell quite well. Everything has been lubed and cleaned and it sill happens. One thing Im leaning to is maybe the spring in the noid is bad or maybe it needs to be lubed. I figure if that spring is bad maybe its not holding the spool where it needs to be and when its first gassed up the air is running through the second stage of the noids cycle and causing the leak untill some air is run through it and holding it closed in the first stage. Thats one of my thoughts. Has anyone else had this problem or any inputs on what it might be!

The leak is coming from the internal o-ring on the ram. If it seals up after a couple of shot's or rotating the breech knob open then closed you should be good, for a while, but the ram will need to be replaced eventually as the leak gets worse. As for the burnt rubber smell, have no idea.

just twist the breech release knob a small twist (and back), that stops the leak for me. also I forget where i read this on the fourms but a drop of love juice in the asa can fix a small leak if a small one remains after the large leak stops by which ever meathod you choose. =D

yeah i remember what post your talking about. i normmaly put a little in before every day of use just to make sure its not dry or anything. Yeah I tried the twisting the breach knob. found that one by chance when i was checking my marker out last night. Maybe ill sent it to ken or bob since its still under warranty and all. But should the hammer move freely like that when its not gassed up?

Typically yes, I've found with the new ram I got back in January from Bob that the hammer doesn't slide back and forth as easily as previous rams, and since I've had no leak issues or hammer not snapping back into position once aired up maybe they started using a different o-ring type or diameter on the shaft to help resolve this problem.

I noticed that as well. I popped a new ram and valve stem into my A1 and my efficiency is very much improved. I went from 900-1000 balls off my 45/4500 to like 650 or 700 at which point I replaced the parts. Now I'm getting over more than ever but not sure how much. They definitely changed something and the new ram works great.

well its not the valve stem not that changing that couldnt hurt. but i did get in touch with FMA and they told me it was the Ram. I guess I just got a bad one from WDP considering mine is about brand new. So im just gonna slap in a new ram. Id like to just slap in the Magno parts............... Anyways im just gonna get a new ram. I was gonna send it in since its still under warranty but considering im ordering some more stuff as well it will be more cost efficeant to jsu tbuy one and slap it in. Besides I dont normally have much time to run to the Post Office.
