Does anyone know this one? My gun is set up with the CP mods with a CP reg and I am using a LP Crossfire tank. My LPR and reg is all set up right and Im using the Joy settings but it seems like After about two games or so My tank drops from 4000 or so to about 1000. Any idea on why id be eatting so much air? I dont shoot a hell of alot of paint so im kinda unsure about this one. any Ideas? I figure maybe im just not gettng very good fills because i know the field i go to they fill the tanks up pretty fast.

2 games is ery vague, need to know FPS, how many pods per game (specifics like 140 rds or 160 like dye locklids)

also whats OUTPUT from the tank set at SPECIFICLY OH and the size of the tank 45/68/71/88ci ect and might as well post ur SPECIFIC settings. remember that 9m/s is the RECOMMENDED dwell for the A1 and the 6.5m/s is just what is used to make is "fast as hell"

well the tank is a 68/4500 set at with the 450 preset. Ill start with a full hopper (200 rounds give or take a little). and ill use 2 140 round tubes about 480 total over about say 3-4 games. I play mid to front. but after about the 4th game im down a crap load of air. Ive tested for leaks and found nothing. all my other settings are idenical to the joy settings. reg lpr all of it. Oh and i normally run about 290fps. But so really i should up my dwell time to save some air. i have no real need to shoot that fast unless i get stuck in the back which normmaly only happens if we are running some drills or we have a line up change for whatever reason.

try running at the 9m/s dwel n see if it helps. also with the regs you can never be CERTAIN what your pressure is unless you have a tester cuz they could actually be higher or lower then what they say :D

so is that 2 pods roughly per game?

well i have a tester that i made for my IR3 and i check my cp reg from time to time but normally when i reset the reg i always slap it on and make sure its reading what it says its reading. Ive been know to go as far as bring my guages and stuff into work and put them on a standard to see how far of they are if any. so i have a lot of firm ground that the reg is set to where it says it is.

No thats two pods every couple of games. I try not to kill a butt load of paint for rec ball or practice. but ill try kicking up the dwell on saturday and see what happens. Id take it to though with the dwell set that low that might be why it shoots like crap when the tank gets below about 1200.

I was shooting 285 fps, Joy/Rage settings, Maxflo Micro (LP), and a 4000 psi fill on a 68/4500...shot 7 pods and a hopper (dye locklids) and had 500 psi left...worked for me. That's w/ the stock mini-reg.

Well it did the same on the stock mini reg as it is the CP. I didnt notice any diff in the two of them. I already had the CP reg so i put it on. incase i ever wanted or needed to use my HP tank for whatever reason. I wouldnt mind having a maxflo but I would trust my local shop to wipe my butt much less change a reg out.

Where are you in NC? All you have to do is take the reg off the tank...the maxflo micro is made to go on/off by hand for flying.

Pittbull, how's your paint to bore match??? If your over-sized that will kill your efficiency.

I always try to get the best match as possible.

Ive have thought about going down to Real McCoys. As far as my air problem I do think the problem was just dwell teime. I put it at 8ms today and I only filled up twice shooting 3/4 of a case. She was singing today. That marker was so dead on. I did a 5 on 1 with some of the we will say less skilled players. I took all of them out in just a little less then 5 min. Lost a new Pod in the process but it was fun. Even playing that many younger players at once I felt my ass should have been handed to me but she was shoot real nice tight ropes. close enough on the money that i was grazing bunkers getting gun and those real small toe and sholder shots.

I do ahve this one other thing no really a problem yet but when i first gass up the maker it hisses at me untill i dry fire like 3 or four shots. whats up with this? and i got this like burnt small from the back of the gun. But there not any problems. yet anyways?

You should remove and inspect your exhaust valve for wear. A lot of times it seems this leak is caused by the valve not seating because it is worn or is the v1 style valve. The burnt smell could be something different and not related, but check the electronics, ie the board and even the noid just to make sure you don't have a problem there. When in doubt the leak dignostics works great.

Oh and I suggest anyone in NC with an Angel to check out Real McCoys paintball. Junior is a really good tech and they seem to have a great bunch of people to play with/against over there. Heck I traveled all the way from WV to get my Angel from them.

Ive pulled the valve out already and I dont see nothing wrong with it. Like i sad the leak goes away after the first couple of shots. Its not hurting anything just kinda strange. One thing i havent tried is opening it and seeing where the leak is coming from. Ill try that the first chance i get and see if i can find whats up.
