I fired up my Speed today. Have a problem, any solutions?
I have a THOR as a secondary reg and it is set at 350psi and I'm only getting 234fps and that's only after the second shot. The first shot is only shooting at 180fps. According to WDP this thing can run as low as 185psi and still shoot 285fps. Is this just a myth or can the psi really be lowered that much on this gun and attain a quality fps. LMK.
Any suggestions are welcome.

unscrew the velocity screw in the reg. also to go as low as WDP says requires a large volumizer.

The screw is almost all the way out. What is optimum input pressure?

I believe the recommended input pressure is 600psi as stated by the manual, but I haven't received my speed yet so I picked that # up here in the forum

This sucks! I ran my tank out of air so now I have to wait till tommorrow to set the pressure. Will let you know what happens.
Thanks for the input.

I was wondering. Could you use a low pressure max-flo on the speed with a gasthrew

My speed manual says to keep it under 850 psi but that 400 psi is the best pressure. And like imperfection sadi you have to have a large volumizer to get it down to 180. You probably also have to have dwell at 8 and to do that you have to have good quality paint and you alsdo have to have a good paint to barrel match for maximum effeciancy witch will let you operate at a lower pressure.
