Question about shims.
As i was adding and removing shims to adjust the pressure in my A1, i noticed about half of the shims are bent and mishapen and half are perfectly flat. Is this a problem?
When i shoot the gun i can hear like and tink tink tink like a light metal clang each shot. I pretty sure this has something to do with the shims because its coming from that area.
the gun shoots great and im not too worried about it, but im just curious about it.
thanks

I have never had a problem with shims that are not flat because they always get flattened out under the pressure so I would say you'll be fine.

ya ...whats funny is i actually ended up bending a couple on purpose because i couldnt get my pressure up above 55 and i was out of shims...so i thought...hey i wonder if bending a couple will increase the pressure a bit. Sure enough brought up to 58-59.
i just am a little worried about that sound, but its probably nothing to stress about.

Some of mine are not perfectly flat as well, they are not bent in half or nothing ,but when put on a flat surface they are not flush with that surface. I think you will be ok. My G7 Fly had the same thing until i replaced it witha JDS LPR. It also worked fine before that.

I have seen them bent some. They tend to make the marker have a different pressure then one that don't have any bent. IF your pressure is set with a bent one then it will stay at that pressure and not make any difference.

That pinging you are hearing may be your exhaust valve stem actually. Had that on my G7 and on my A1, it was never a problem though. I eventually replaced them just to be sure though.
