I just got a new A1 in the mail. I ordered it off Ebay (I know BAD ME!!). Anyway, got home plugged in my tank and leaks like a son'bitch. It's leaking from the ram hole in the breech. Orings on the outside of the ram are fine, but I know the internal ones aren't serviceable. Anyway, here is the question. The ram has two parts, the fat copper part and then the stainless steel silver part that goes in and out. I JUST (like an hour ago) sold my other A1 so I can't cross check this, but the stainless steel part should NOT move excessively freely in and out of the ram body right? I'm talking like if you so much as lean the gun forward the ram hits the exhaust valve. This is, of course, with the air off. I'm about 99.9% sure it's an internal ram oring that's shot and therefore allowing the ram to move like a hot knife thru soft butter and causing it to leak BADLY. I just wanted some reassurance before I go crazy on this dude on Ebay. Thanks guys!!

if there is no air applied to the marker the ram and bolt will move freely back and forth. i would replace all of the ram orings, per the leak diagnosis guide on angels website and go from there. it is very easy to have a leak and not be able to see anything wrong with the orings. hope this helps..

Quick question...do you have an HPR gauge? If you just got this A1 from somebody on ebay the reg maybe cranked up to high, unlikely but possible. What is the output from your tank? Too much pressure coming in from the tank reg could also potentially cause your problem. And then finally it could be the o-ring on the ram shaft, unfortunately the one that cannot be replaced. Quick way to tell is air it up and dry fire a couple of times or simply rotate the breach knob to the open position and then back to the closed (locked) position, does the leak go away? If yes then it's very likely it is the ram shaft o-ring and there is nothing that can be done but use it till it won't seal up any longer or go ahead and replace the ram now.

I found that I can get it to stop by playing with the breach knob. I figured it was that oring. Thanks man. That's two helps tonight. You win!! :)

Same thing happen to me when I moved the breech knob it stops but it maybe will stopped for not to long, I figured it out on my A1 that the internal o-ring was damage cause I was firing it with a HP tank. Eventually you will have to change your ram as I do.(hopes not) ;)
