Has anyone had problem with there feed neck not tighening. I have to have the tension nut completely turned in and my hopper still wobbles. Any clues? Thanks for the help.

what kind of hopper is it? Is the feedneck already sanded down from a prior marker?

If you haven't already, you can always just make a small shim out of paper or something so you don't have to torque down on the tension nut so hard.

Try using some black electrical tape on your hopper. that usually works pretty good with my halo.

I second that...go once or twice around, that should do the trick.

One of my teamates' A1's does this, too. It's not the hopper spinning, it's the whole lock-collar. I don't know why it does it, haven't tried the shim idea, though.

Yep that's my problem.

Sounds strange, I've had no trouble with the collar itself being loose.
However, I'm using an old and worn-out Vlocity for my A1, and I need to apply one or two rounds of electrical tape once in a while, to keep it fastened properly.
B2, Halos etc are a bit bigger and usually fits without adding tape to the feedneck.

I placed 2 rounds of electrical tape in between the collar and neck itself. The clamp no longer spins even without a hopper on it due to the friction.

Good idea, Valas. I'll tell my teamate to try that.

Mine also does the same with my Halo attached. I just use a cut out of cardboad to fit in it and it is fine.

I had a probelm with the lock collar as well. I had to overtighten to keep my loader from spinning, but it broke feednecks on two of my loaders. It's been replaced since then with a twist lock. No more problems, no more broken loaders.

This works great. I only used one layer.

Well I've decided I just need to get a new feed neck. With this in mind has anyone switched their's out for an after market one? I was just on FMA and there was a couple of choices, but none of them really stated that it was for an A1. Thanks for the help guys.

All Angel feednecks are the same thread. The best part is that since the A1 uses a really low stock feedneck you'll have no clearance problems with aftermarket ones.

I had this problem with mine.

Here's the cure...

Take the locking screw out and with a thin flat file open out the slot, you'll need to file it so it tapers out away from the centre slightly. You wont need to take a lot off, so try the hopper in now and then to get the best results.

Have a look from the top, at the faces that clamp together when the clamp is done up. You'll see that the outside edge is tight but the inside edges are open, this is why you need to file the slot slightly tapering to the outside. You'll end up with a parallel slot when it's tightened if you've filed it correctly.
