I just recently bought a 05 Speed, and I'm waiting for it to come in the mail. Should be here by about Thursday.

Here are some pics of it:

It comes with the Black Dye Ultralite Barrel pictured, and a Black/Silver Unimount. It also apparently has the "minireg mod" done to it, so that it runs off a HP tank.

I've also ordered for it the following:
STD JDS LPR
Chris' Lightened Hammer and Spring
Evolve Angel Lite Bolt
CP Volumizer, Gloss Black
AngelForce MT Barrel Condom
Blue Hybrid 90* Grips
AKALMP Tornado Valve

Anything else I'm missing? I've got a message in to Chris to see if he sells a Lightened Ram for the 05 Speed, as well.

Oh, also, do I need to order an Angel Tool Kit to work on this thing? I noticed over on FMA that the Tool Kit no longer comes with the Ram Extractor... is that going to be critical? What all else am I going to need to get to work on it?

Ram extractor could only be used on LED through iR3 and even then no one really used them as the rams came right out.

Well, it just so happens that I found one on eBay being auctioned off. I won it for $36.00 plus $5.30 S&H. Not too shabby, I suppose.


Anyone suggestions for further upgrades from anyone? I don't know if I'm missing anything... but, just want to make sure I cover all my bases. :o)

Prolly want the tool kit: lpr gauge, ram removal tool, and something else that I never used

LPR gauge won't do him any good if he's using a JDS. The ram removal tool (not the extractor, but the deal you use to unscrew it) can be replaced by a golf cleat spike tool for about $5. Some metric hex keys should take care of pretty much everything else.

I didn't think AKA made a Tornada valve for that generation of Angels. You may have gotten one for the LCD/IR3 generation.

Gun should shoot nicely when you're done with it. Although you probably spent more on upgrades than the gun.

Oops, didn't see he got A JDS LPR. You're gonna need one of the gauges Boostmonkey sold.

Yeah I was confused about the valve, I remember not seeing those on AKA's site so that stirred me quite a bit lulz

Well, I don't think he sells them anymore, but you can make one yourself, pretty sure Doc remembers the adapter sizings.

You'd need an M5 to 1/8" NPT adapter, or an M5 hose barb and a gauge with a hose barb. There was a thread at PBN a few months back with a link to a place that sold the M5 to 1/8" NPT adapter. It was about $5, IIRC, plus $10 or so for shipping. Screw in a gauge and you're all set.

Yep, that's how it works. You will screw the gauge adapter into the LP channel that runs through the center of the gun. If you remove the backplate you will see a grub screw right in the center. You need to remove that and screw the adapter in it's place. It'll work just like the boostmonkey setup.

Nah, if you're ASM you can search whenever you want. Try "boostmonkey gauge" searching exclusively in the APS forum. the word "boostmonkey" appeared in the thread at least 500 times :D

Edit: Also, how much PSI do I need the gauge to go up to?

That was the link I was thinking of. Yes, any standard 1/8" NPT gauge will fit (i.e., any standard paintball gauge). A 0-100 psi gauge would work best and should be pretty easy to find.
