thinking of trading in an a4 fly for an a1

hey all

well if anyone has looked at the a4 forum I just picked up an a4 fly for 60 bucks and I am thinking of putting a package together and dumping it for an a1 as it is a back up right now for my shocker.

I have always loved angels and I am really thinking about the a1 but I have a few questions about it. i don't know anything about it really I have never had anythign newer then the fly.

1. is there a dif between the old a1 and new a1 internals not including the mango stuff
2. are there any problems with them in cold weather I live in ontario canada and I play winterball so I want to make sure I can use it.
3. are there any real problems that I should look for if I get one
4. I have been reading about them for a while and there are a few people at the field with them and I have herd one that is working great with only one small problem and the other was a head ache and not very good at all

if anyone can shead some light on this it would really help me out as all there really is at my field is shockers and egos. The only reason I got the shocker is cuse it was a good price and it works don't get me wrong but I feel the angel callin me back.

I will offer my opinion, I just got my A1 not too long ago. I have never used other Angels so I don't know how it compares to them. However, I have used other guns like Egos, Shockers, etc and I can say that my experience has been really good. I had a little problem with mine with fragile paint. I just had to adjust the settings in the gun and that fixed it. I really don't see how using a A1 in cold weather could make it work badly. The only thing you have to worry about is fragile paint, and the A1 takes care of that fairly nicely. Just put it on the most fragile setting and you should be fine. Also, use the Joy/Rage settings posted on Angels site and you should rock with it. I think it will end up being your main gun, while your shocker gets benched :).

OK, I'm not sure if it was a typo, but they are MAGNO (short for magnet) internals...I only feel the need to correct this b/c it's been mis-typed on other forums and don't want you to be misinformed.

To answer your question, if you bought a brand new a1 from an mt or APS the only dif between the internals of the two markers would be the "magno stuff" - Older a1s had a different bolt, but this should not be a problem if you buy new - you could also trade the bolt in, if you purchased an a1 that had it...

Problems? Sure, but if you tune it and have it set up correctly, I can't see why you would have problems specifically with cold weather.

My 2cents is save for the a1fly, or get the a1 and up the internals with the "magno stuff" but you'll be missing out on some other really nice upgrades not currently stock on the a1.

i will have to see what happens and I think he might have been its been sitting around his place for a while and he just wanted to dump it so I worked out a deal and boom. I have to reaplace the eyes but thats it. i am not too sure what to do about the angel now.

I just talked to a field owner that I know and he has a wdp sponsored team that is getitng rid the the a1s not use they want flys but becuase they went down all over the place and that is concerning thats why I want to talk to people on here

thats what I am thiniking tony I am going to try and get a package with the a4 that I have and see how that goes. I don't need the fly really I know that there will be good stuff on it but tony is right lol
