well what I was wondering, I just bought a used a1, has less then 3k shots on the counter, I shook the marker and heard something moving in the body, and knew it wasnt the bolt lol. So I took the front plug out and needless to say my valve stem fell out in 2 peices.. I dont want to buy another because the new internals are on the way, so probably smarter to wait till Angel gets in gear and starts selling things. I used red loctite on it, and it seems to be together pretty tight right now, i tried pulling it apart with no luck.. I just dont wana put it back in my gun if it may cause issue(s). Anyone else do this? lol..

Also my a1 shoots slow as heck, even on PSP. That may have been because of the broken part?

I think 95% of this is angel's boards and or software because I am not the only one who has this issue with a1's.. but then again there are a number of a1's that rip. Any info/advice would be appreciated.. thnx all

whats ur LPR, dwell settings? remember psp is capped at 15 for the settings flashed on board

Dwell was high at 9.0 ms
I put to 6.5, and dont have guage testers to check LPR/HPR settings at moment..

Even though PSP is capped at 15, its not shooting near 15bps.. and it cant be the loader, I have a dm7 w/virtue and it rails at 15..

additionally, my tank is a HP tank, would that cause some of the issue?

I dont wana buy a CP reg adapter.. do you have the link where I can change the shims in my HPR to work with the HP tank.. thats one thing that bothered me about angels regs haha..

As far as the valve stem goes i super glue mine as well, with no other issues as well. But the shooting slow or at least the felling of shooting slow i am having the same issue, I am trying to set the trigger to see if that helps. And oh yeah by the way I am using JOY settings all around from pressures to board.

haha that will be my first buy.

It was a tough choice for me to buy the a1, but I know they work damn good when setup right.

Budda, im with you brother, I think Angel did a horrible job making this board, and or software for it

I dont see what was wrong with the g7 board logic(worked great)

If we played millenium at 12 bps it would be all good. But I need my 15 lol

I would like to see Angel change the board logic and make it so the gun shoots in PSP with the eyes off, and made the eye logic more reliable. The internals of the marker are capable of 15, the whole issue in my opinion is that the angel board is not doing its job.

Yes, there are virtue boards etc. but why should I have to pay $130 for a board, from a $1000 gun.. Unfortunatly though we all must wait and maybe the Angel guys have somethin good in store as far as with the fly update??

I have owned 2 previous a1's to this(not for a long period of time, due to issues with them). But figured I'd give it 1 more shot. I know it is the markers board logic that is the issue because, if you take your index finger and dip it in and out of the feedneck quickly, the eye's SOMETIMES miss the finger being there and or it is delayed in reading something in the breach(this happens a lot).

My dm7, i stick my finger in for a second, the eyes read for a second. There is no delay, no lag in reading, which is probably why it is very consistant at shooting (duh)..

Anyways, there is my rant, but i love my a1 feel more then the matrix haha.. Anyone got any suggestions?

It could be that the bps with eyes on/off might be set low.

all are set above 18 bps

15 bps is not slow. So if the gun was shooting 15+ I wouldn't be posting about my marker shooting slow haha

your eye delay may be set wrong also if it takes forever for marker to detect. its also programmed to detect false readings

its 2.2,

I will go through it all tonight and play with some settings.

But I still believe its all to do with the software

A setting of fagile 3 would put you at or below 15 bps with most loaders. It's a very conservative setting and one I use only when I have really low batteries or cold paint. I run mine at fragile 5 and with a very fast loader that will max out around 20 bps.

If you are still running slow with a setting of fragile 5 and your hopper is working fine on other markers, try changing the battery in your A1 (It's best to change the battery when it dips below 8.0 V). If you are still running slow make sure the eye plug are fully seated in the board and remove the eye covers to check the eyes. Clean them if they are dirty and make sure they are fully seated.

thnx for the info, I will give that a try..

It definitely could be the battery, or the paint setting

Yep, I think the stock A1 board and software are great as is. However they can take some tweaking to get them tuned and lightning fast. This can take some trial and error for the mere mortals among us or you can buy one from a master tech and it will come to you already set and rocking.
