To all that has an interest and who wants to know and who wants to care.
Shipping to APOs is just like shipping to/from the states. It depends on which spot though.

APO, AP is ARMY Post Office, Area Pacific
APO, AE is ARMY Post Office, Area Europe

APO, AP leaves and enters Los Angeles
APO,AE leaves and enters New York.

To receive mail from the states once it leaves will depend on the priority of the mail/package(always best to send PRIORITY) and the ARMY Post Office and time of season IE...Christmas.

To send to the USA from an APO,AE/AP takes shoter times ,because once it hits US soil the USPO takes charge and delivers quickly.

But normal time for priority boxs and or mail takes about 7 days to an APO pending on season once again.

Receiveing is alway shorter to the US.

Well I hope this helps for those that are shaky on shipping to APOs, Please dont just support the SOLDIERS AND SHIP THEM YOUR USED, NEW paintball equipment you are tryng to sell.

This might be more helpful if it was outside of the SM section where more people will see it.

I suppose it goes without saying that this applies to USPS mail only. UPS and FedEx don't ship to APO addresses, to the best of my knowledge.

Actually they do but it depends where you are at and if that post has those as services in Korea they have both.

Merged both threads, keeping in Admin News and adding a sticky for all of our service members.

Be careful about reporting items on the customs forms when mailing to an APO/FPO. If it's an expensive item like a laptop, don't put "laptop" on the customs form. It might not be delivered. Put "electronics" or something generic like that. I had my laptop mailed to me here in Iraq in December and it still hasn't arrived. The customs form said "laptop" and was insured for $2500. I don't think I'll ever get it now. That sux.

remember theres the customs for ps2976 and a ps 2976-1 with the latter being for higher value items over like $400 if memory serves. Easy way to remember is the small green is for smaller claims and the bigger 3 page white for larger items.
