Hey, everyone!
I just bought this Angel off of eBay on behalf of a friend of mine, and was wondering if you guys could ID it for me... and possibly give me some insight into what could be wrong with the marker.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSAA:US:11&Item=230239598490
In the description the seller states: "I haven't touched it in awhile and i tried charging it the other day and it didnt charge so i think it needs a new charger"
Any ideas what the issue could be? Is it likely that the charger could be bad, or is it more likely that the battery is bad, or what?
Let me know what you guys think. Thanks! :o)

base 2000 LCD
battery is prolly bad, review my sticky on board replacement, it has a link to a error thread that has a link to a aftermarket company who makes the replacement batteries

Thanks for the info, Shibby.
Is there any way to know for sure that the battery is the culprit? It'd be nice if we didn't have to replace the battery, only to find out that the charger could actually be the culprit, lol.

Well... I'll let you know as soon as the gun gets here, lol. I just hit the Buy it Now for my friend last night. So, I would assume the gun isn't even shipping until some time today, or probably Monday at the latest.
I'll post back with a response as soon as we get the gun in the mail. :o)

The battery's $50 from Ballistic Batteries: http://www.ballisticbatteries.com/Store_Detail.cfm?ID=110124&InfoID=200&ShowLarge=True
You could build one yourself if you've got the technical skills for about $15-$20 worth of battery cells.
I'd be really surprised if the charger was actually bad. 99% of the time charging problems have to do with the battery or board.

I REALLY hope it's not the board. What would it cost to replace the board?

You could drop a Un1 with chip in it for about $85. They go up from there. Sad to say, but the old LCD boards have a tendency to suddenly crap out. Could just as easily be the battery though, so don't worry about until it gets there and you can test everything yourself.

Shibby, you're a smart-a$$, LOL.
Good thing you're around, though... you've answered a LOT of my questions in the past, and I have no idea what a lot of us would do if you weren't around! :D
BTW, that Arsenal G7 of yours still pending? Friday's coming up quick, and I'm praying that beautiful gat is still available so I can get my hands on it. :o)
