i've got a 98 Eclipse LED(Banzai Green-yeah, you can drool) that is starting to have a leaky cup seal. i want to know is there anything special that i need to be aware of when taking it apart, as well as any guides on putting it back together(years of experience, but never taken this bad boy apart and i want to make sure i get it right the first time). i do see that "fixmyangel.com" has the parts i need and can service it, but would rather do it myself. also, any pointers of what else to look for in way of ram, valve and 14-way, as well as checking all the orings. the guy i got this off of said the LPR was serviced but i want to make sure.

and if people want pictures, i'll update them this weekend.

Disassembly instructions can be found in the manual, which can be found at the top of the page in this forum. It's pretty straightforward. As far as what else to look for, just check the o-rings on those parts for damage, replace as necessary, and reapply grease when you reassemble.

If you take the 14 way valve, be careful not to damage the 4 o-rings on it when reassembling. They can sometimes catch and stretch on the body when re-assembling the valve. Like the Doc said, make sure you re-apply grease to necessary components.
