different barrel on speed

Why are there different stock barrels on the speed?
You can see in the speed pic thread what I mean.

that is interesting because I thought I read somewhere that the Speed barrels were going to come with the back half dusted or something, and I believe Benfrain posted saying it was jus a piece of rubber, perhaps the blue one is just with the rubber removed???? Because that blue barrel isn't the same barrel as the pics from Vegas.

I can only speak for my own marker...

It is a Black dust model and the barrel is silver. However, there is a plastic/rubber shroud about 3 inches long (black) which sits at the end nearest the marker body. This makes it look 2 tone but the barrel itself is all silver.

I personally hope that when my blue dust speed arrives monday it'll have a solid blue colored barrel. I never liked the look of the two toned barrel and a plastic/rubber shroud makes me think of "cheap."

Im glad i have the single color barrel...:)
The looks are better.
But I bought it at the Max Masters (Millenium) Bitburg germany.

I think that the "rubber" on the barrel is removable. WDP probably put the shroud on so you can take the barrel off without leaving half you hand in the milling.
