OK guys, dont loose me. This is my first official tech thread. I seem to be having an issue with my 05 speed. It seems to function normally with the eyes off. It will cycle as fast as i can squeeze. With the eyes on is where I am having my problem. First of all, according to the lights on the back of the grip frame there is always a ball present, even though there is nothing in the chamber. ROF is SLOW. It will only allow me to shoot 1 ball every 3-4 seconds. NOT fun. Cany any of you guys point me in the right directions as to what I need to do to address this problem?

Thanks guys!

the eyes may be dirty, pop them out and give the eyes and the sockets a good clean

I tried wiping them off in the gun, didnt help.it use to detect my finger, but all the sudden it just stopped.

take the covers off and gently push the eyes out with a small allen key. Give everything a clean and re-assemble

Good pointer Tom. The paint can short out between the LED terminal leads. Soaking them in alcohol and use canned air to blow out all the crap. Do not power them back up until they dry out. If that does not work you most likely need new eyes.

Then how good is the charge on the battery? I can think of a few other things it could be ....

I've seen a lot of eye failures recently, let's hope the recent batch are a bit tougher.

I have just started experiencing the exact same problem. I'll do what you did and see if that helps.

I popped the eyes out and cleaned them with alcohol as was advised and both the eyes and the breech area are clean as a whistle, yet when I reassembled and put my finger down through the feed neck, the lights on the back of the gun change (to detect my finger) and when I pull the trigger I can hear the noid click. However, if I keep my finger in the breech and keep pulling the trigger the noid will only click every 3 or 4 seconds. I can't currently test it with actual air and paint because I've loaned my tank out to a friend for the weekend. I've double checked all my setting and and made sure everything is clean and where it should be, what else could it be?

when my eyes did this on the G7, I pulled the eyes from the board, and re seated the ribbon. problem solved.

Aside from cleaning eyes and making the battery a full charge, I must say, this is the most common problem with the eyes I have seen.

I re-seated the eye ribbon when I checked the board settings but I haven't changed the battery. I'll give that a try and see if it helps any.

Your eyes are working exactly as they should. If you just leave your finger in the breech, they don't detect the movement of the bolt and the clearing of the breech, so they won't allow you to fire. Try it with paint and it will probably be just fine.

Just got my tank back and I put four balls in the breach and it shot all of them within about two sec. so whatever I did it seems to have done the trick. Thanks for all the help.
